RACE 1: D.J’S PRODUCE CLASS B H'CAP – 1000M

CROOKED CRANIUM was slow to begin.

MISS CROCKETT, which was considerably slow to begin, was also slowly into stride and made the home turn wide.

Leaving the 800m, MACY BAY hung out across the heels of THINK UNDER losing ground.

RACE 2: BOOKMAKER’S CLASS 6 PLATE – 1100M

FORMAL AFFAIR was slow to begin and slowly into stride.

C Gilby the rider of FORMAL AFFAIR reported that despite being ridden forward the horse felt reluctant to race and that he was of the opinion that the horse may have been holding its breath until the 300m when he believed the gelding released a breath. A subsequent vet examination of FORMAL AFFAIR failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer R Frazer could offer no explanation for the horses’ performance and advised stewards that if anything should come to light he would notify them immediately.

RACE 3: WESTERN AUTO ELECTRICAL MAIDEN PLATE – 800M

BURITON BOY jumped out at the start losing ground.

A PAT FOR BOB was slow to begin.

Approaching the 700m, EMMA’S EXPRESS, which was inclined to hang out was tightened for room between OCTOSON (NZ) to the outside and NUGS’ PRIDE, which was forced out by PONY, which had been inclined to hang out during the early stages.

Over the concluding stages ANCA INDE was eased and lost ground when reluctant to hold its position between MISS OOH RORY and A PAT FOR BOB, which shifted in under pressure. Apprentice C Gilby was advised to exercise more care.





RACE 4: DAVID DUNNE, BRUCE ELMES & JOE BRYAN’S CLASS 3 PLATE – 800M

MALBERRY HILL blundered and lost ground on jumping.

ZEPHYR MAN jumped out at the start hampering SAUVETERRE, which was slow to begin.

SOLAR DANCER jumped out at the start making contact with SUNRISE ROAD.

Both FLYING KWILA and DISCO DIVA hung out leaving the 500m.

DISCO DIVA was held up for clear running over the concluding stages after hanging out across the heels of FLYING KWILA.

RACE 5: PRESIDENT’S OPEN H'CAP – 800M

RENFREW reared as the start was affected losing ground.

STARATAN shifted out at the start hampering JACKSONS BANKROLL.

ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
