RACE 3: THE BODYSHOP CLASS 6 PLATE 800M–
1st -Fallen 2nd -Lord Tullun 3rd -Workwithme 4th -Elysain Field
Prior to the declaration of Correct Weight Apprentice Jockey E Wilson the rider of MISS JOKER made application to the Stewards to have her mount declared a non-runner claiming that her barrier did not open correctly. After viewing the Stewards patrol film and taking evidence from the Steward on the spot, Stewards could not be satisfied that MISS JOKER was impeded at the start as a result of its barrier not opening. Stewards further ruled that the sole reason for Miss Joker losing ground at the start was as a result of that mare jumping with its head in the air as the barriers opened. Stewards therefore declared MISS JOKER a runner.
LORD TULLUN (I French) shifted in when placed under pressure in the straight.
