SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

As S Sweedman was ill rider changes were made as per the Stewards Summary.

RACE 1: WESTERN MEAT EXPORTERS P/L CLASS B H’CAP 800M–
1st -Fasciti 2nd –Stomp The Yard 3rd -Macreedy 4th –Careless And Crazy

GALVATRON (E Wilson) blundered at start losing ground.

MACREEDY (C Dixon) began awkwardly and then shifted out hampering CHALAMBAR (D Rewald) and FASCITI (R Faehr).

C Dixon the rider of MACREEDY dropped this whip rounding the home turn.

A Post-Race Veterinary Inspection of VERSA VICE (C Schumacher) which performed below expectation failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 2: RAY WHITE QTIS M’DN PLATE 1000M–
1st –Tennessee Blue 2nd -Influenza 3rd -Mijulae 4th -Airdance

FALVITA (D Monaghan) was very reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Stewards advised trainer S Iverson that a warning would be placed on FALVITA for its pre race behaviour.

TENNESSEE BLUE (G Geran) jumped in at the start hampering INFLUENZA (W Glass) and TUERTA LASS (D Mo).
TRISH’S DANE (R Faehr) jumped out at the start making contact with AIRDANCE (R Cox) and lost ground. A short distance later TRISH’S DANE was further hampered when the filly improved onto the heels of AIRDANCE and had to be eased.

Approaching the 50m, MY PLANS (C Rogers) was tightened for room and forced to ease when racing between BANGLES FOR BEC (D Rewald) and AIRDANCE shifted in. App R Cox the rider of AIRDANCE was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances for future reference.


RACE 3: RAY WHITE RURAL CLASS 3 PLATE 1400M–
1st –Glasgow Town 2nd –Winning Spur 3rd –Giant’s Castle 4th –Moxie Million

MOXIE MILLION (W Glass) broke through the barriers and was quickly restrained by its rider. The gelding was vetted and cleared to take its place in the field.

ANISETTE (R Kirwin) reared as the gates opened and lost considerable ground.

ICANWIN (C Dixon) was slow into stride.

Approaching the 1200m, DENMARK LANE ( D Rewald) was tightened for room and forced to ease when racing between MIGHTY CANNY (C Schumacher) which shifted in and away from GLASGOW TOWN (G Geran) and DESERT RED (D Mo) which shifted out after being bumped by ICANWIN.

Stewards questioned App C Dixon in regards to his ride on ICANWIN, particularly between the 600m and the 200m. App Dixon stated that after being slow into stride he urged his mount forward to obtain a forward position. App. Dixon further stated that from the 600m the gelding was a spent force and as such did not overly pressure his mount for the remainder of the event. Stewards noted App. Dixon’s comments however did advise App. Dixon that the lack of vigour shown on the gelding between the 600m and the 200m was below expectation and further advised App. Dixon of his requirement to ride his mount to the finish of the event. A post race Veterinary Inspection of ICANWIN failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 4: QUEENSLAND COUNTRY RACING MATILDA HIGHWAY CLASS 5 H’CAP 1200M –
1st –Willyclang and Gaffe Dead Heat 3rd -Departure 4th El Cobar

As there was no rider available NATIVE WOLF was scratched by order of the Stewards at 12:10pm.

KALINGA BLAZE (E Wilson) was very reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Stewards advised trainer E Jonson that a warning would be placed on KALINGA BLAZE for its pre-race behaviour.

EL COBAR (W Glass) was slow to begin.

TUSCAN BLAZE (D Rewald) over-raced during the early and middle stages.

DIGGING DEEP (R Cox) blundered shortly after the start resulting in App. Cox being dislodged. App Cox suffered a harmless fall and was fit to fulfil his remaining engagements.

Approaching the 900m, CROSS THE FLOOR (R Kerwin) was forced wider on the track by the riderless horse.

RACE 5: RAY WHITE RURAL NEWMARKET OPEN H’CAP 1200M
1st –Southerly Impact 2nd-Junk Bond 3rd –Bang Clang Alang 4th-Like A Sequalo

BANG CLANG ALANG (C Dixon) dipped at the start and lost ground.

JUNK BOND (R Kerwin) jumped in at the start hampering CAFÉ BAR (R Cox).

LIKE A SEQUALO (D Rewald) was slow into stride.

Near the 50m, YUKON LAD (R FAEHR) improved quickly onto the heels of LIKE A SEQUALO and had to be checked.
