SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Race 1: PRESIDENTS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M
KENTUCKY BOMBER was tightened for room between runners shortly after the start.
SEEKING LOUIE jumped in at the start and made contact with another runner. Approaching the 800m over raced for some distance. On returning to scale was bleeding from the mouth. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse had a minor laceration on its tongue.
WAY OUT began awkwardly.
WINNING CHOICE was bumped by another runner shortly after the start.
RUBY BABE hung out for the majority of the event.
Race 2: MURWEH SHIRE COUNCIL CLASS B HANDICAP 1000M
TING TONG TIGER was bumped by another runner at the start and lost some ground.
DASHING CONQUEROR shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages.
LOVE THE BUSH hung out from the 600m.
MIRFAC jumped out and made contact with another runner on jumping.
BLINKIN HASTY dipped at the start. Jockey Ms C. Rogers advised Stewards the horse was disappointing today and appeared to resent the kickback and didn’t appear suited on the track today.
Race 3: TONY FACEY MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200M
LA CLOISONNE jumped in and made contact with another runner.
Approaching the 1100m MY MONICA shifted in and across another runner when not completely clear. Stewards reprimanded Jockey Ms R. Kerwin for careless riding when she shifted ground when insufficiently clear.
The start of RACE 4 was delayed and started at 4.20 pm. All Jockeys were reweighed to the extended.
Apprentice Jockey Josh King was fined the sum of $250 by Stewards for being overweight on Hildesheim. He was permitted to ride the horse as there were no other riders available. When considering penalty Stewards took into account the particular circumstances which led to App. King being in breach of this rule.
Race 4: SOUTH WEST FORD CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400M
RUBIS over raced in the early stages of the event. Jockey D. Brown advised Stewards the horse was over racing during the majority of the event and he had to take hold at the 800M point.
Race 5: ROSS IVERSON MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 75 HANDICAP 1600M
TAYSTAR was bumped by another runner shortly after the start.
SPINADA jumped out and made contact with another runner.
ROYAL REWARD jumped awkwardly with its head in the air.
Stewards spoke with Jockey of TAYSTAR Apprentice Jockey Ms B. Richardson and Trainer Mr B. Richardson regarding the disappointing performance of the horse today. Both parties agreed the horse didn’t appear to have travelled well during the run and seemingly didn’t handle the surface at today’s meeting. Stewards accepted the explanation of both parties.
