CHINCHILLA RACE CLUB STEWARDS REPORT 18th MAY 2002

WEATHER – FINE TRACK – GOOD
RACE 1: CHINCHILLA BEAUREPAIRES AND AINSWORTH MOTORS MAIDEN H'CAP – 1030M.
KARWENDEETAM eased at the 600m.
KARWENDEETAM was disappointed for a run entering the home straight then ducked in behind FAIR COP at the 200m
Apprentice Z Landry was reprimanded, when approaching the winning post, she allowed her mount LOUD BLUE to shift in causing KARWENDEETAM to be checked
RACE 2: GLEESON QUALITY MEATS AND MURRAY PURVES BETTA ELECTRICAL CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1100M.
SPLENDID BABY was slowly into stride.
HULA HAVEN hung out through out the event.
SPLENDID BABY and PINK PONTIAC both hung out making the home turn.
RACE 3: GALE AIR SERVICES AND CHINCHILLA OWNERS AND TRAINERS ASSOC. MAIDEN H'CAP – 1400M.
Stewards had concerns surrounding the condition of the track between the 800m and the 500m caused by the watering of the track through the week. A delegation of riders accompanied the stewards during there inspection of the track and it was agreed that the track be rolled between races.
Merry Road was presented to the mounting yard with saddle cloth number 17 instead of number 7. Jockey J Baker and Trainer M Craven were both fine the sum of $50 in this incident.
TWILIGHT BLUE was inclined to hang in from the 500m and for the remainder of the event.
An inquiry was opened and adjourned into the tactics adopted on DONNABELLE in the last 300m of the event. Statements were taken from trainer H Richardson and the rider Z Landry.
RACE 4: CLUB HOTEL OPEN H'CAP – 1400M.
Apprentice L McCoy was reprimanded in that she allowed her mount to shift out at the 150m hampering CARDINIA, SLEEPY POET and BILLY BLANKET.
RACE 5: SETTLERS SERIES FINAL CLASS 5 H'CAP – 1200M.
MOSES DRIVER was slow to begin
RACE 6: CHINCHILLA HEALTH PROFESSIONALS CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1200M.
Jockey P Lindeberg was fined $100 for accepting the ride on both RUBINESQUE and TEARDROP.
Stewards granted permission for apprentice L McCoy to ride TEARDROP 1kg overweight, as there were no other rider available.
HOW FRAAR failed to handle the conditions.
ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
