1st RAISE THE BID 2nd ADULARIA 3rd BALLARD BOY 4th HEART OF MY HEART

MR PIN WAH late scratching at 10.15am. Trainer E Weier advised that his vehicle had broken down and he was unable to attend the meeting.
HEART OF HEARTS (J. McKinnon ) jumped outwards contacting BALLARD BOY (L.McCoy).

RAISE THE BID (Appr T Serjeant) hung out to first turn then moved outward on the home turn contacting ADULARIA (Appr K Gates)
SUPER SAMAURAI (W. Glass) did not handle rain affected track.

Jockey S Bogenhuber advised stewards that FLASH JESTER who led early lost ground quickly and finished well back. Jockey Bogenhuber felt that the gelding did handle the track conditions but put very little effort into its finishing effort. Explanation noted.

RACE 2. CLUB HOTEL & CENTRAL MOTOR INN QTIS MAIDEN PLATE. 1030M
1st PEDERNALES 2nd UPTOWN EAGLE 3RD SET THE BAR 4th CASUAL CONNECTIONS

OSCARDEN (W. O’Connell) withdrawn at 2.05pm on Veterinary advice at the barrier when the horse was found to have blood present in the near side nostril. All monies on OSCARDEN refunded and the following deductions to place getters as follows
PEDERNALES 0 cents win 7 cents place
UPTOWN EAGLE 9 cents place
SET THE BAR 7 cents place

Stewards ordered trainer B Park to gallop OSCARDEN over 1000m rule AR53A (7) before racing again.

ITS PRIME TIME (Appr T. Serjeant) blundered on jumping & slow into stride.

CASUAL CONNECTIONS (J.McKinnon) Jumped inwards and across TIME FOR INDI (N Yamada) at the start.

SET A BAR (Apr R Ride) hung in badly last 80m.
It was reported that BAANYA SON(I Coombes) was not comfortable on rain effected going.

Jockey S Bogenhuber questioned regarding disappointing effort of short placed favourite Mizrachi. Jockey Bogenhuber could offer no excuse for the run except that Mizrachi raced wide throughout and ran very wide on the home turn. Explanation noted.

RACE 3. THE K & R PLUMBING CLASS 2 HCP. 1200M
1st BELLESPY 2ND RESONATING 3rd AMIGO CINCO 4th EDWARDSCISSORHANDS
BEL TORNADO (Appr K Gates) jumped inwards crowding EDWARDSCISSORHANDS (S Bayliss) and FREEKEH (Appr B Floyd).

EDWARDSCISSORHANDS moved inwards on to AMIGO CINCO (L McCoy) middle stages.

AMIGO CINCO had difficulty obtaining a clear run in the straight.
FREEKEH very wide on the home turn.

At 150m BELLESPY (N Yamada) moved out on to EDWARDSCISSORHANDS then moved inwards slightly inconveniencing AMIGO CINCO




RACE 4. THE VICTOR BLACK MEMORIAL OPEN HCP. 1200M
1st CASH IN A HURRY 2nd COUNTY SHERRIF 3rd PIPERS POINT 4th DUKE WILLIAM
COUNTY SHERRIFF (Appr B Floyd) hung in during early stages then moved out contacting GETAMOVEON(S Spry).

DUKE WILLIAM (I Coombes) did not handle the wet track conditions.
Jockey P Spry advised stewards that GETAMOVEON had every chance but did not handle the chopped up track in the middle stages.


RACE 5. THE CHINCHILLA RSL DIGGERS DAY CLASS 4 HCP. 1400M
1st CAPPIN JACK 2nd STALLONE 3rd ANNETTES PUMPKIN 4th FIRST OPTION

MAJOR CASH (I Coombes) broke through the barrier dislodging the rider.
MAJOR CASH returned to the tie-up stalls and as Jockey I Coombes had been injured and MAJOR CASH’S saddle was damaged the horse was withdrawn at 4:00pm. All monies on MAJOR CASH refunded & the following deductions applied.

STALLONE 3 cents place
ANNETTE’S PUMPKIN 3 cents place

A subsequent Veterinary inspection of MAJOR CASH revealed no injuries. Jockey I Coombes sustained bruising to his right foot.

WINGER IN (Appr A Smith) jumped with its head in the air and lost ground.

ANNETTE’S PUMPKIN (P Spry) jumped awkwardly.

CAPPIN JACK (W O’Connell) jumped in contacting TIZ COREY (Appr B Floyd).

TIZ COREY raced wide and tended to hang in at 900m then ran very wide in the home turn.
