Race 1: Burnett Carrying BM 60 Handicap- 1000 metres
REAL DREAMS- Stood awkwardly in the barriers, jumped out and made contact with another runner.
ROSELLA EAGLE- Reared when the start was effected and was slow to begin.
SOLIDIFY- Raced wide throughout.
BOTH EARS- Raced wide throughout.
SEQUALO’S SECRET- A post-race veterinary inspection revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg with a suspected tendon injury. A veterinary certificate will be required should the horse return to racing.
Race 2: Belyando Produce QTIS Maiden Plate - 1000 metres
FIELDS OF OXLEY- Jumped in abruptly at the start.
RIGHT OR ROME- Taken in by another runner at the start.
SUPREME ROCKET- Slow to begin, eased when other runners jumped in at the start.
HURRICANE HURRY- Jumped awkwardly, was slow to begin, raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed the gelding to be suffering heat stress. Trainer advised the gelding would now be spelled.
Race 3: Fairfield Quarry Class B Handicap- 1200 metres
MAKING WAVES- Slow into stride.
SPANNA- Lay in during the middle stages.
MUSCAT- Little slow to begin.
Race 4: Clermont Crane Hire Open Handicap - 1200 metres
Following Race 3, Jockey D Evans was examined by ambulance officers and elected to ride. After weighing out and prior to riding in Race 4, Jockey Evans was re-examined and stated he was fit to take his ride. Race 4 started at 4.05pm.
DESERT PLAYBOY- Knuckled badly on jumping.
ROC’ DA FLOOR- Began awkwardly.
TALLICA- Raced wide throughout.
A FINE DROP OF RED- Race wide throughout. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed the mare was mildly lame.
Race 5: Commercial Hotel BM 55 Handicap- 1400 metres
Acting on a confirmed phone call from Trainer I Shaw that he was unable to arrive on course due to a transport breakdown, FOREBODING was declared a late scratching at 2.05pm.
Following Race 4, Jockey D Evans was unable to fulfil his engagement due to injury. S. Sheargold was the substitute rider. Jockey D. Evans was advised that a medical clearance would be required prior to his next riding engagements.
Due to the delay prior to Race 4, this race was re-scheduled to 4.35pm.
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Jockey T. Bannon viewed the photo finish image for first placing. After doing so, Jockey Bannon was satisfied and correct weight was declared.
DIAMOND ACE- Standing awkwardly, jumped out and lost some ground. Raced wide throughout.
TOUCAN UKELELE- A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormality. Apprentice advised connections that the gelding have not stretched out on the hard track surface. Trainers representative stated the gelding would have a further start and may then be sent for a spell.
