SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

As R. Kerwin was unable to fulfil her riding engagements due to injury she was replaced as per steward’s summary. R. Kerwin was advised that she must supply a medical clearance prior to her next race ride.

Race 1: RAINE & HORNE MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M
1st – WESTERN CHAT 2nd – HYPATIA 3rd – HASARUSH 4th – WHATA STORM

SHOVELLE (S. Bayliss) and ASCOTFLEET (D. Van Bekkum) lost ground at the start when tightened for room between WHATA STORM (J. Robertson) which jumped out and PAGEN’S FORTUNE (J. Stephens) which jumped in.

WESTERN CHAT (C. Kearney) jumped out at the start making contact with HYPATIA (C. Beets) which in turn shifted out making heavy contact with HASARUSH (G. Auckram) which became unbalanced. HASARUSH was also slightly inconvenienced by its outside barrier gate which failed to catch properly and bounced back.

HYPATIA (C. Beets) commenced to over race for a short distance leaving the 750m.

FEATHERSWILLFLY (L. Brown) raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 2: DEAN WAKELIN EXCAVATION CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1000M
1st – OUR GENERAL 2nd – INNOCENT ENCOUNTER 3rd – MYSTERY GUN 4th – CRAIGLEA PARIS

MYSTERY GUN (G. Auckram) began awkwardly.

INNOCENT ENCOUNTER (J. Stephens) shifted in under pressure near the 150m momentarily crowding MYSTERY GUN (G. Auckram). J. Stephens was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.




Race 3: CLARK RUBBER CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1072M
1st – SNIFTER 2nd – HATANGI 3rd – ROSE WITH ATTITUDE 4th – TOP’S LAD

SNIFTER (App L. Dillon) raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

Race 4: ULTON GROUP CLASS B H’CAP – 1608M
1st – RAVISSEUR 2nd – PALACE OF DREAMS 3rd – IZA BAD 4th – ORUNGA

RAVISSEUR (G. Auckram) lost ground at the start when its barrier gates failed to open until forced open by the horse.

RAVISSEUR (G. Auckram) improved onto the heels of IZA BAD near the 1050m and had to be steadied.

Race 5: CALLIOPE RURAL TRADERS GOLD CUP OPEN H’CAP – 1072M
1st – SUNTANNED 2nd – TRY SOME MAGIC 3rd – KOUNELI 4th – BUCK'S SECRET

Due to R. Kerwin being indisposed stewards permitted apprentice K. Treble to substitute as the rider of KINGS MIRROR as no other suitable senior rider was available.

Prior the race being started the barrier gates were tested on two occasions and proved to be functioning satisfactorily.

The start was delayed when the ambulanced was required to treat a person who became ill in the horse tie up area.

LUSTING (App L. Dillon) stood flat footed and lost considerable ground virtually taking no part in the race.
J. McConachy, the trainer of LUSTING, was advised that the horse must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.
