DRAC’S IMAGE (J Kropp) was slow to begin.

The start was delayed when RATTUS CONATUS (M. Atkinson) broke through the barriers. RATTUS CONATUS was quickly restrained, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the event.

Upon returning to scale Jockey D Crossland, the rider of the third placegetter, SHE KEEPS ME BUSY, lodged a protest against the second placegetter SHEZZA RICHES (F. Edwards) alleging interference at the 250m. Bearing in mind the half length margin, Stewards could not be satisfied that the interference suffered by SHE KEEPS ME BUSY warranted a reversal of the placings and as such the protest was dismissed and correct weight declared on the numbers semaphored by the judge.
