This race was five minutes late due to the late arrival of the photo finish operator.

After the start DADON (Kerry Rockett) jumped in onto ZIP’N’ ZIZZ (Nor Yadi) who intern bumped SIGNIFICANT CHOICE (Juliet Kuskopf).

LILLABELLE (Kirk Stone) and SWEET ASA ROSE (Bradyn Swaffer) travelled very wide rounding the home corner.


Race 2 :AIRFIRST QTIS TWO-YEARS- OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 950 MTRS
1st – Penthouse Poppy 2nd –Villainous Lass 3rd –Much About 4th – Aviator Girl

SHE CAN TWIST (Wanderson D’Avila) was scratched by stewards at 2:13pm for refusing to load into the barriers.

Prior to declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets placed on SHE CAN TWIST prior to 2:13pm were to be refunded, further, that all bets on the winner placed before 2:13pm be less 19 cents in the dollar on the face value of ticket and all winning place bets be paid less 16 cents in the dollar on the face value of the ticket. Trainer T. Rowe was advised that SHE CAN TWIST must trial in order to obtain a barrier certificate. Mr Rowe told stewards that the horse was sore and would be spelled immediately



VILLAINOUS LASS (Sonja Wiseman) broke through the front of the barriers then went a short distance down the track and was taken back to the barriers and passed fit to start by the vet.

VILLAINOUS LASS lost its off hind plate during the race.

Race 3 :JACK WILSON MEMORIAL MAIDEN HANDICAP 950 MTRS
1st –Family Freeze 2nd –Christmas Vampire 3rd – Ryanandroses 4th – Bearizan

SHE’S LEGAL (Juliet Kuskopf) jumped in onto BEARIZAN (Braydn Swaffer) leaving the barriers.

SCAMMED (Kerry Rockett) was slow into stride and then travelled wide rounding the home corner.

BEARIZAN (Braydn Swaffer) and RYANANDROSES (Wanderson D’Avila) came together near the winning post whilst racing in restricted room both riders were reminded of their obligations and dangers of racing in restricted room.

Race 4 :JDP APPLICATIONS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1250 MTRS
1st –Thirty Three Large 2nd – Bo Rossa 3rd –Army of One 4th –Lil’ Red Monkey

LIL’ RED MONKEY (Jamie Dickinson) reared out of the barriers when the start was effected.

BO ROSSA (Ian Toward) threw its head in the air upon jumping.

GREAT IMPRESSIONS (Mark Atkinson) brushed the running rail at about the450 mark,
KANDEE QUEEN (Kirk Stone) also brushed the running rail near the same place.


Race 5 :THANK YOU JOHN SMITH CLASS B HANDICAP1500 MTRS
1st -Manzanita 2nd –Press Play 3rd –Oakfield Hero 4th – Greenmount

MANZANITA (Nor Yadi) was marginally slow into stride when the start was effected.
