RACE 1: LOLA WEBSTER CLASS B H’CAP 1400M-
1st-My Lady In Waiting 2nd-Mojach 3rd-Proof Reader 4th-Tarmons

Stewards advised trainer S Iverson that he would be required to produce a veterinary certificate for SLIDE BY SLIDE which was scratched by order of the Stewards at the scratching deadline advising that the filly was unfit for racing today.

Due to transportation difficulties S Sweedman was unable to arrive on course in time to fulfil his engagement as the rider of TARMONS. R Cox was substituted as that mare’s rider.

PROOF READER (C Schumacher) jumped in at the start making contact with TARMONS (R Cox).

Near the 450m, MY LADY IN WAITING (D Monaghan) shifted out to obtain clear running resulting in PROOF READER being forced wider on the track.


RACE 2:WARREGO HOTEL MOTEL CLASS 1 PLATE 1000M-
1ST-Craiglea Hummer 2nd-Moxie Million 3rd Grey Skye 4th-Craiglea Cadillac

CAPTAINS WILL (D Rewald) was slow to begin.

MAHAYANA (C Schumacher) began awkwardly.

QUAESTUS (D Brown) was slow into stride.

Approaching the 700m, CRAIGLEA CADILLAC (C Rogers) shifted out making contact with CRAIGLEA HUMMER (R Faehr).

GREY SKYE (S Sweedman) hung out from the 450m until the early stages of the home straight.


RACE 3: WARWICK REAL ESTATE/HYNES NEWSAGENCY CLASS B H’CAP 1200M-
1ST-Fine Finish 2nd-Wip 3rd-Forbidden Forest 4th-Craiglea Cyclone

HALLOWED TURF was declared a late Scratching by order of the Stewards at 2:50pm as there was no rider available. As betting had not commenced no deductions were to apply.

HEAD ON IT (C Rogers) was slow to begin.

OMBRA MAID SERA (D Brown) began awkwardly.

Stewards issued a warning against OMBRA MAID SERA which was uncompetitive for the duration of the event.

RACE 4: HOPE’S BODY REPAIRS OPEN H’CAP 1200M-
1st-Healy Creek 2nd-Craiglea Tambo 3rd-Bellrego 4th-Je Suis Rockstar

Prior to the race Stewards considered an application by Trainer S Iverson to have PROOF READER, which was duel accepted to race in this event, declared a late scratching as he was not satisfied by the way filly had pulled up following race one. After considering Mr Iverson’s submissions, Stewards declared PROOF READER a late scratching at 3:20pm. As betting had not commenced no deductions were to apply.

CRAIGLE TAMBO (R Faehr) was slow into stride.

HEALY CREEK (S Sweedman) over raced during the early and middle stages of the event.

R. Faehr, rider of CRAIGLEA TAMBO, pleaded guilty to a charge under AR137(a), in that near the 100m he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of JE SUIS ROCKSTAR (C. Schumacher), resulting in that runner being tightened for room between CRAIGLEA TAMBO and the running rail forcing JE SUIS ROCKSTAR to lose its rightful running. Stewards ordered that R. Faehr be suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 8 meetings, to commence at midnight, 25 April and to expire at midnight, 5 May 2010.

Jockey R Faehr was fined $150 for striking his mount CRAIGLEA TAMBO with the whip in the forehand manner on 7 occasions prior to the 100m.
