Race 1: MHR Shearing Class 3 Plate- 800m
1st – Beachcomber 2nd – Parragundy 3rd – Bonza Bronze 4th – Imbolc
SAND RULER was a late scratching at 8.00am on vet’s advice. Trainer J Patterson was advised that a vet certificate would be required prior to it’s next race start.
PAGODA (W Glass) dipped badly at the start unbalancing the rider, then continued to lay in coming into contact with the inside running rail.
SHE’S DREAMIN (K Adams) jumped out at the start making contact with ITS JUST SMALL TALK (C Bryen).
Race 2: Dave Webster Qris Maiden Plate- 1000m
1st – Dashingly 2nd – Go Wushka 3rd – Count Spur 4th – Skyping

An error in printing of race book for this race for non Qris horses, should read $600 not $800 for 3rd prizemoney.

HEAD ON IT was a late withdrawal at 12.20pm as no rider was available. Deductions were not required as betting had not commenced.

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey W Doyle, the rider of COUNT SPUR to view the official photo finish for second. Subsequently stewards declared correct weight.
FLASH CASANOVA (W Glass) was restless in the barriers.

HE’S NO WITNESS (P Spry) jumped out at the start and ALVERN (K Adams) jumped in both horses making contact with SKYPING (J Kehoe).

W Doyle the rider of COUNT SPUR accidently dropped his whip at the 100m.

Race 3: Murrawondah Coban Poll & Merino Studs Weight For Age- 1000m
1st – Montanus 2nd – Lester 3rd – Degenda 4th – Rocky Cobra

SPIRITO VOLANTE (R Kerwin) stood in the barriers and took no part in the race. Trainer E Jonson was advised that SPIRITO VOLANTE must pass a barrier test prior to it’s next race start.

DEGENDA (A Lane) was slow into stride.

Race 4: Warrego Hotel Motel Class B H’cap- 1200m
1st – Discovery Lad 2nd – Testacurri 3rd – Zandaful 4th – Mccaskell
IGNOREDALEG and RUSTIK CONNECTIONS were late withdrawals at 2.30pm as no riders were available. Deductions were not required as betting had not yet commenced.
TESTACURRI (C Bryen) and ALANORT (A Woods) were slow into stride.
Race 5: Dallas & Tinny Jackson Class 4 H’cap- 1200m
1st – Fullafibz 2nd – Moxie Million 3rd – Sky Hussar 4th – Beautiful Nicola
MY LADY IN WAITING (R Kerwin), JES SUIS ROCKSTAR (C Bryen) and LABELLED URGENT (A Woods) were all slow into stride.
ADRIATIC OCEAN (P Spry) was inclined to over race in the early stages of the event.
