SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT.

Prior to the commencement of the meeting Stewards were notified that Jockey B Appo and Apprentice M Sharpe were both ill and they were replaced as per the Stewards Summary.

Stewards interviewed Jockey M Johnson and Trainer W Baker as to the reason he was a declared rider on two horses in Race 1 .After taking an explanation of events from both parties ,Stewards put this incident down to a understanding and took no action .

Jockey M Johnson was also interviewed as to the reasons he was declared on two runners in Race 2.Stewards fined Jockey Johnson under LR51(1) the sum of $50.00


RACE 1 CLEANING AND CATERING QTIS MAIDEN PLTE. – 1000M
1ST ALL STELLAR 2ND NEWMINSTER 3RD MISS WHIZ BANG 4TH SALUTE THE JUDGE

As there was no senior rider available Stewards allowed App J Wood to replace Jockey B Appo


At the start NOBLE KIN ( B POWELL ) and CAN’T BE TOLD (D EVANS ) were tightened for room by ALL STELLAR(L McCOY) which jumped out and LEBIKYL (N EVANS ) which jumped in .
Shortly after the start LEBIKYL continued in making heavy contact with CAN’T BE TOLD (D EVANS ).
CLASSIC HERO (C BUMSTEAD ) jumped in at the start hampering ROCK’N’BILLY REBEL (J LETHERBY) which was slow .
SALUTE THE JUDGE (M ABE ) jumped out at the start .
CLASSIC VICTOR ( M JOHNSON ) over raced and pulled hard throughout the event .
Leaving the 150m CLASSIC VICTOR ,when attempting a run between MISS WHIZ BANG (M WOOD ) and NEWMINSTER ( J BROWN) ,had to check and alter course to obtain clear running when NEWMINSTER shifted ground under pressure .
Stewards reprimanded App J Brown ( AR137(a)) in this incident and reminded her of her obligation to stop riding and straighten when her mount begins to shift.
Leaving the 100m CAN’T BE TOLD lay out taking COCONUT AIRWAYS ( R HINRICKS) wider on the track .


RACE 2 BOWDENS TRANSPORT CLASS 1 HCP. – 1000M
1ST FINAL OPINION 2ND FRENCH NOVA 3RD FIREWALL 4TH MISTY O’YAMBA
Stewards allowed App. D Evans to replace Jockey B Appo as there was no other senior rider available.


WINNING EXPRESS (B POWELL) has jumped out at the start hampering COOL EDGE ( M JOHNSON ) which was slow to begin after blundering on jumping away .

FRENCH NOVA (N EVANS ) raced erratically in the early stages of the event .
FIREWALL (J McKINNON ) was slow to begin then raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race . FIREWALL commenced to lay out rounding the home turn

Stewards questioned Jockey J McKinnon as to the reasons he raced wide during the race .Jockey McKinnon stated that as the horse began slowly he had no option but to sit wide from the start up to the 700m .Then when the opportunity to race in cover presented itself Firewall was reluctant to come back and was inclined to race harder. Jockey McKinnon also stated that in his opinion the horse lost nothing racing wide as the gelding was a big striding horse and travelled well where he was . Stewards noted his explanation

.Leaving the 150m OUR SPECIAL STAR (J WOOD) when attempting a run between FIREWALL and MISTY O’YAMBA( L McCOY) had to be checked off the heels of FIREWALL, when MISTY O’YAMBA (L McCOY) ducked out abruptly when placed under pressure . Stewards reprimanded Jockey L McCoy in this incident .AR137(a)


RACE 3 DALBY DETECTIVES SOCIAL CLUB CLS. B HCP.-1400M
1ST GOOD MEDICINE 2ND ANY WONDER 3RD STEFENICK 4TH CHRISTMAS MORN

INNOCENT NEWS (G THOMSON) has jumped out at the start hampering HEIR TO GREATNESS (Z LANDRY)
TUSCANY AFFAIR(R KERWIN ) stood flat footed as the start was effected and lost ground ..
KATCEES BID (L McCOY ) was tightened for room between STAND AND FIRE (D EVANS) and CHRISTMAS MORN (J PUJOLAS ) both of which shifted ground ..
CHET ( B POWELL) has jumped in making contact with REFINED DESERT ( J Mc KINNON ).
GOOD MEDICINE( D LlAMBIAS ) was caught wide rounding the home turn .
Approaching the 450m CHET has rolled in placing STAND AND FIRE in restricted room for a short distance .
STEFENICK (M WOOD ) was held up rounding the home turn .
Leaving the 1000m STAND AND FIRE raced greenly,then rolled in at the 900m hampering ANY WONDER (R HINRICKS)which was steadied .

Approaching the 1000m INNOCENT NEWS (G THOMSON ) was placed in restricted racing room when MR BLUE BERRY (J BROWN ) has rolled in




RACE 4 MYALL MOTEL OPEN HCP. -1300M
1ST MI CELO 2ND SMARTEN CLASSY 3RD JYI’S PROSPECT 4TH MILADY CLANG .

DUOMO (M ABE ) has begun awkwardly with its head in the air and shifted out inconveniencing PICWORTH( J LETHERBY ).

Approaching the 1000m SMARTEN CLASSY (D LLAMBIAS ) has shifted wider on the track and remained wide until the home turn .

JYI’S PROSPECT raced wide rounding the home turn .

App D Llambias reported his saddle slipped nearing the 1000m resulting in Smarten Classy shifting wider and not able to obtain the best possible position in the field .App Llambias reported his saddle righted itself rounding the home turn and he was able to fully test his mount over the concluding stages .



RACE 5 GOLDEN WEST MARQUEE HIRE CLS 4HCP. 1200M
1ST TAG/ FAIRSEA (DEAD HEAT 3RD PENNYQUEST 4TH OSCAR ROYAL

TAG (J CLARKE) was tightened for room at the start between MONMAGIC ( M ABE ) which shifted out and LAERTES (Z LANDRY) which was slow to begin .

LIQUEFY (D LLAMBIAS) raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event ,then raced wide rounding the home turn .

OUR WANDRIN STAR (W COOK) jumped awkwardly with its head in the air and struck the outside barrier partition losing ground .
Stewards placed a warning on OUR WANDRIN STAR for its barrier manners and connections were notified of this decision.
At the 900m OSCAR ROYAL (R KERWIN ) became unbalanced and raced with its head in the air for a short distance.

PENNYQUEST (J PUJOLAS) has shifted ground over the final 100m when under pressure.

Due to a malfunction of the photo finish camera correct weight was delayed while the judges reviewed the video of the race, after which the placings were notified to the Chief Steward. The Stewards again reviewed the official video footage and concurred with the Judges placings which were 1st DEAD HEAT (TAG / Fairsea) 3rd Pennyquest 4th Oscar Royal.

Correct weight was then semaphored.
