SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT.
Stewards at the Toowoomba Offices, concluded an inquiry into the reasons why Trainee Apprentice William Dicey, whilst he was unlicensed, was allowed to ride work on the 26-06-08 by Trainer Russell Kirwin Trainer Russell Kirwin was subsequently charged under LR 43, pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $200. Trainer Kirwin was advised of his appeal rights.
RACE 1- LEVERAGE EQUITIES CLASS B HCP.-1000M
1ST HE’S WISE 2ND RAUTAI’S IDOL 3RD ALL STELLAR 4TH WINNING EXPRESS
SLY KICK(W GLASS)and RAUTAI’S IDOL (J BROWN ) made contact on jumping away .
DANE SAHARA(P SPRY ) jumped out at the start hampering ALL STELLAR (C ISDALE).
RORY’S RAPPER (S MILLER ) began awkwardly and shifted out taking MIDNIGHT MOODS (J McKINNON ) out on to PATTON (T BANKS ) which was slow .
RAUTAI’S IDOL(J BROWN ) lay out on the home turn resulting in WINNING EXPRESS (C BUMSTEAD ) which was following having to be steadied off heels
At the 500m SHINKO RULER (W CLASOHM ) has rolled in tightening WINNING EXPRESS on to RAUTAI’S IDOL .
ALL STELLAR raced wide rounding the home turn .
As Jockey C BRYEN was overweight he was replaced as per the Stewards Summary sheet .
RACE 2- SKANDIA MAIDEN PLTE. -1200M
1ST QWUEENOFTHEROCKIES 2ND STRAIGHT DANCING 3RD WINNING TYCOON 4TH RIVKAMA
ONE THE RED (E WILSON ) was slow to begin as was CLASSIC HERO (C BRYEN )
BRIEF RESPOND (G AUCKRAM ) began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly .
ROADTOLUCK(W GLASS) has jumped out making heavy contact with FIRST CRUSADE( M ABE) which was severely hampered ..
WINNING TYCOON (C ISDALE) raced wide from the 400m to rounding the home turn .
Over the final 150m PENDAMORE (J McKINNON ) raced greenly and shifted ground ,resulting in FIRST CRUSADE ,which was following , having to be steadied .
Jockey C Bryen reported that his mount appeared to be sore and did not stretch out over the final stages .Stewards interviewed connections who informed them that as Classic Hero was scratched at the Sunshine Coast meeting on Veterinary grounds the horse would now be spelled to try to redirect the horses attitude to racing .
Stewards also reprimanded Trainer W Baker for removing his horses from the Course within the 30minutes allowed in the rules (AR117)
Stewards also reprimanded App E Wilson for failing to claim her full allowance on her mount ONE THE RED (AR92(12))
After the running of race 2 Stewards upgraded the track to GOOD.
RACE 3 – WHK OPEN HCP.
1ST JACKSON HILL 2ND BOOM SHAKER 3RD I DARED 4TH DEPARTURE
At the start JACKSON HILL (J McKINNON ) was slow to begin .
SAN PHILLIPE (R KERWIN ) raced wide throughout .
After the running of race 4 Stewards opened an inquiry as to the reasons why App D Llambias had left the jockey’s room without permission and was talking to a member of the public at the enclosure fence . Stewards subsequently charged App Llambias under 175(p) with failing to obey a direction .App Llambias pleaded guilty and was fined the sum of $100.
RACE 4- SAINTS Q T I S CLASS 2 HCP-1400M
1ST PICAWILE 2ND THE BROWN HORNET 3RD CROWNTRENO 4TH GLIMPSES
At the start COOL EDGE(C BUMSTEAD ),PICAWILE(M ABE),VICTOR HUGO (P SPRY ) ABERCORN ( Z LANDRY) and PIQUANT PRINCESS (G THOMSON ) were all hampered and tightened for room by MY LAST CENT(G AUCKRAM) which jumped out and FRENCH NOVA ( N EVANS) which jumped in .
THE BROWN HORNET (D LLAMBIAS) raced wide throughout .
Shortly after the start CANALLAGO’N (J McKINNON ) was inconvenienced by WINNING SPECTRUM(C BRYEN ) which shifted out and CROWNTRINO(R KERWIN ) which shifted in after beginning awkwardly .
At the 200m App M Abe dropped his whip which placed him at a disadvantage over the final stages .
RACE 5 – SCOTT KING INSURANCES CLASS 3 PLTE.- 1200M
1ST THREE CHANCES 2ND KID KAPLAN 3RD CLASSIC VICTOR 4TH NOVESTA
As Jockey C Bryen was overweight and not able to take his engagement on CLASSIC VICTOR he was replaced as per the Stewards Summary .
THREE CHANCES (G THOMSON ) was slow to begin and raced wide throughout the event .
BIGGA’N’ BETTA (P SPRY ) and GRANDE VARGUE (N EVANS ) were both slow to begin.
NOVESTA(M ABE),LEZANT (D McMASTER), JONDY REX (D LLAMBIAS )and BEAU KEA (G AUCKRAM ) were all tightened for room at the start by CLASSIC VICTOR (C BUMSTEAD ) which jumped out and ARMED FOR VICTORY (Z LANDRY ) which jumped in .
Approaching the 1000m CLASSIC VICTOR (C BUMSTEAD ) raced erratically and shifted out taking ARMED FOR VICTORY (Z LANDRY ) and KID KAPLAN (J McKINNON ) wider on the track
Over the final 150m BEAU KEA (G AUCKRAM ) had to be eased off the heels of ALL FOR ROME (W GLASS ) which shifted ground .
Rounding the home turn GRANDE VARGUE (N EVANS ) had to be eased off the heels of REGINA’S BEST (R KERWIN ) which lay out .
Stewards inquired in to the reasons why Jockey C Bryen was unable to take two of his four declared rides on the programme in Race 1 (Winning Express ) and Race 5(Classic Victor ).Stewards subsequently charged Jockey Bryen under AR 85 B .To this charge Jockey Bryen pleaded guilty and was suspended for two calendar weeks ,commencing at midnight 19 of July 2008 ,to end on August 2 -2008 at midnight . Jockey Bryen was advised of his appeal rights .
