WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – DIRT

General:
J Babarovich was unable to fulfil his riding engagements due to illness. He was advised that he must present a medical certificate before riding again. Change of riders as per summary.

Race 1: Central Highlands Regional Council Benchmark 70 Handicap- 900 metres

ROCKETMOUNTAINHIGH – Reared at the start and was slow away. Raced wide in the middle stages.

CONJUGAL RIGHTS – A post race examination revealed a respiratory noise. Trainer R Hay was advised that the gelding must undergo an endoscopy and be cleared to race before its next start.

Race 2: T & J Whitehouse & Jellinbah Mine Benchmark 55 Handicap- 900 metres

RUSHATUS – Began awkwardly.

HAYIL METRO – Raced wide throughout.

Race 3: Yarrabee (Yancoal Aust. Group) Leighton Conctractors P/L Class B Handicap- 1200 metres

HOLLYWOOD PRINCESS – Rider reprimanded for shifting in and tightening runners at the 600m.

OUR FLAIR – Tightened for room at the 600m.

VATICANS STAR – Tightened for room at the 600m and lost ground.

AUTHENTIC SWING – A post race examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore heel. Trainer I Shaw was advised that a vet certificate must be provided prior to the gelding’s next start.

Race 4: Wesfarmers Curragh’s Community Contribution Framework QTIS Maiden Plate- 1200 metres

STAR READER – Slow away.

TRACKER – Raced wide throughout.

COWBOYS GIRT – Raced wide throughout, and was inclined to lay in under pressure up the straight.

GRAND ROCKET – Rider reported the gelding was inclined to lay in for the majority of the event.

IMPROPER ROCKET – When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance Jockey stated the filly raced well to the 400m and then weakened to the line. Stewards noted the filly was first up.

Race 5: S.T. Olive & Sons Dingo Cup Benchmark 65 Handicap- 1200 metres

JUST FOR KEEPS – Slow away, and raced wide in the middle stages.

RHINO – Jockey reported that the gelding over-raced in the early and middle stages and raced wide.
