RACE 1: LIVE WIRE BAR H’CAP - 1200M.

RAGAZZA was very slow to begin.

KNIGHT’S BARONESS jumped away awkwardly.

Nearing the first turn, DRAMA AMOUR got its head up and raced ungenerously for a short distance when being steadied off the heels of LITTLE SHOES.

Approaching the 600m., CANGAZE had to be steadied after being cramped for room by ANNUNCIATION.

RACE 2: KEVIN KING MEMORIAL H’CAP - 1350M..

DAPPLES, which was kicked by another runner whilst parading behind the barriers, was examined by the club’s veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start.

FIELD GOAL jumped inwards at the start, inconveniencing DAPPLES.

FIELD GOAL tended to race ungenerously in the early stages and at the 1100m. was hampered when cramped for room between MARDUK and CAUTIOUS SPIRIT.

On the first turn, TOBOLSK had to be restrained when cramped for room by PRINCE PATRICK, which shifted in whilst racing ungenerously.

Approaching the finishing line, FIELD GOAL had to be restrained to avoid the heels of DAPPLES, which shifted in under pressure. M. Cahill, rider of DAPPLES, was reprimanded for failing to straighten his mount.

A veterinary examination of STRAIGHT WILDER, which compounded in the straight, failed to reveal any abnormality.

BAGOLINO, which suffered a bleeding attack during the event, will incur the mandatory 3 month ban from racing. A swab sample was taken from BAGOLINO.




RACE 3: CONRAD INTERNATIONAL HOTEL H’CAP - 2200M.

Trainer C. Alderson was fined $50 for failing to presenting ANCIENT CITY on course by the prescribed time.

SIR HUMMER was inclined to hang out rounding the home turn and also in the straight when placed under pressure.


RACE 4: MOET & CHANDON DOOMBEN ROSES SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES - 2020M.

Approaching the 800m., ASTRAL JOIE had to be checked when tightened for room by AMNESIA, which shifted in after being brushed by DRAMA QUEEN.

On the home turn, after initially being cramped for room between SHANE TARTAN, which shifted out to improve, and EPISODE, which shifted in slightly, MY FELICIA was further hampered when EPISODE continued to shift ground inwards. D. Oliver, rider of EPISODE, was cautioned and advised to exercise more care.


RACE 5: BLACKJACK SPRINT - 1350M.

On jumping away, TRIPLE HEADER and FORGOTTEN HERO were tightened for room between TURF KING, which jumped outwards, and CONFISCATE, which jumped inwards.

Leaving the 1200m., TRIPLE HEADER had to be checked when tightened for room by BLAZING STEEL. It was established that linking up with the course proper when TRIPLE HEADER attempted to shift out from behind TURF KING, BLAZING STEEL simultaneously shifted in, resulting in those horses making contact. BLAZING STEEL, continued to lay in on to TRIPLE HEADER, causing that horse to be checked. Given the circumstances, particularly the racing manners of BLAZING STEEL, no action was taken, however B. Stewart, rider of BLAZING STEEL was urged to make more effort to protect his fellow riders.

From the entrance to the straight until nearing the 100m., PLEASURE GIVER was impeded for a run between LAURIE’S LOTTERY and ADAM.

RODWAY SEA shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.

A veterinary examination of POINT DANGER, which performed disappointingly, failed to reveal any abnormality.

A veterinary examination of LAURIE’S LOTTERY, which tired over the concluding stages, also failed to reveal any abnormality. A swab sample was taken from LAURIE’S LOTTERY.




RACE 6: JACKPOT EXPRESS DOOMBEN SLIPPER SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES - 1350M.

At the request of jockey G. Boss, ROYAL SOLITAIRE was examined by the club’s veterinary surgeon behind the barriers and passed fit to start.

M. De Montfort reported that COLOSSEUM balked and lost ground on jumping away.

BANYAN BAY and ALPINE WHISTLER bumped at the start.

Approaching the 800m., COLOSSEUM got its head up when being steadied off the heels of HIRSCHBERG, which shifted in.

At the same stage, ALPINE WHISTLER had to be restrained off ROYAL SOLITAIRE, which at that stage lost ground when slightly cramped for room by NAZRETH.

HIRSHBERG shifted out at the 700m., forcing CLANDENT and SLIDING DOWNHILL wider on the track.

ALPINE WHISTLER again had to be checked off ROYAL SOLITAIRE near the 700m..

At the 600m., CHAMBA shifted in momentarily, taking LITURGY in onto ALPINE WHISTLER, which was again inconvenienced.

Approaching the home turn, LITURGY and CHAMBA were placed in restricted room when HIRSCHBERG improved to the inside of the heels of CHOKWE.

At the 400m., ROYAL SOLITAIRE hung out on to the heels of OAMARU RHYTHM.



RACE 7: TREASURY CASINO DOOMBEN CUP - 2020M.

Near the 1500m., YIPPYIO shifted out and made contact with SPYING, which in turn made heavy contact with GENE’S INTEREST, taking that horse out on to the hind quarters of ISTIDAAD.

At the 1400m., SPYING was momentarily cramped for roon inside LAHAR, which at that stage was taken in by INTERGAZE.

Leaving the 500m., JOSS STICKS was momentarily tightened for room between SPYING and YIPPYIO, which shifted out after being disappointed for a run inside MELORA.

Approaching the home turn, SPYING shifted out to improve, resulting in that horse making contact with LAHAR. A short distance later, SPYING had to be checked when tightened for room between LAHAR, which shifted back in, and LEASE, which was taken out by the tiring EAR4S’ RONNY, which in turn was influenced by MELORA, which shifted away from the running rail. Whilst it was established he was not fully responsible for the incident, C. Brown, rider of LAHAR, was nevertheless reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in.

When questioned regarding the performance of ARKADY, S. Dye stated that the gelding was never comfortable at any stage and refused to stretch out. A veterinary examination of ARKADY failed to reveal any abnormality.

Swab samples were taken from the second placegetter, LAHAR and the unplaced SIR NATIVE CHIEF.



RACE 8: CASINO REWARDS ROUGH HABIT PLATE SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES - 2020M.

CONAIR and BLACK BEAN bumped heavily soon after the start.

Leaving the 1600m., TRUST NO ONE was hampered when tightened for room by KING SALIERI, which shifted in whilst pulling hard.

At the 1200m., MIKENBALDY had to be steadied off JAMUQUA, which at that stage lost ground after being briefly tightened by CONAIR.

BOLD ZAPHER hung out in the middle stages.



ALL WINNERS,BAGOLINO, LAURIE’S LOTTERY, LAHAR AND SIR NATIVE CHIEF WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
