WEATHER – OVERCAST TRACK - HEAVY RAIL - OUT 4M ALL TRACK
RACE 1: BRISBANE MARRIOTT HOTEL H'CAP - 1100M
NO INCIDENTS
RACE 2: HENNESSY COGNAC H'CAP - 1350M
DONLANI and HARD BID bumped at the start.
RACE 3: TREASURY CASINO H'CAP - 1350M
MISS CRABOPPLE dislodged its rider L Moloney during the preliminary, however both horse and rider failed to take any harm from the incident.
Prior to the start being effected BLUE GOWN broke through the front gates, however was quickly restrained by its rider S Galloway, examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start.
RACE 4: PALAZZO VERSACE H'CAP - 1615M
As C Munce was to be overweight, the following riding replacements were approved:
Race 4 CHEERY BELLE D Walsh
Race 8 WHAT’S THE BEEF J Stanley
C Munce was fined $100.
Soon after the start CHEERY BELLE lost ground when tightened for room between DESERT PHOENIX and LOVE TO HONOUR.
After travelling 100m PLANOVA had to be steadied to avoid the heels of DESERT PHOENIX which was taken in by DOUBLE TIME. M Paget, the rider of DOUBLE TIME, was severely reprimanded and urged to exercise more care particularly in the prevailing conditions.
RACE 5: MOET & CHANDON LABOUR DAY CUP - 2020M
After being held up behind the tiring RETIREMENT on the home turn, BREW was then further held up for clear running until nearing the 200m.
RACE 6: SHERATON NOOSA RESORT H'CAP - 2200M
As S Shield was stood down by the Club’s medical officer following his ride on PLANOVA in Race 4, S Seamer was substituted as the rider of POINTILLISM.

RACE 7: MOET & CHANDON CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES - 1200M
A veterinary certificate will be tendered for PARADIDDLE which was a late scratching at 8 a.m.
As D Walsh was distressed following his ride on FIGUREHEAD in Race 5, he was replaced on TENDERNESS by S Katsidis.
OMBRA DELLA SERA, which was kicked in the near shoulder in the enclosure, was examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start.
On return to scale a protest was lodged by M Cahill, the rider of 3rd placegetter RAPID MAN, against CENTONA (J Byrne) being declared 2nd alleging interference on the home turn. It was established that leaving the 600m RAPID MAN and CENTONA made contact as CENTONA attempted to establish itself to the outside of the heels of OMBRA DELLA SERA. As a consequence, CENTONA commenced to overrace, ran up on to the heels of OMBRA DELLA SERA and shifted out abruptly, hampering RAPID MAN. Stewards however dismissed the objection given the long neck margin separating both horses at the finish.
HEROISM was slow to begin.
RACE 8: THE HERITAGE HOTEL SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES H'CAP - 1200M
After travelling a short distance both CANADIAN COMET and LOUNGE SUITE lost ground when tightened for room by WHAT’S THE BEEF which shifted in after being contacted by VERSETIME.
ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
