Scriven), resulting in BANG THE CASTLE having to be checked. E. Wilkinson was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 6 meetings, to commence at midnight, 5 July and to expire at midnight, 16 July.

JACKPOT (J. Holder) raced 3 wide throughout.

He added that in the straight WHO CAN IT BE NOW ran home only fairly. Trainer P. Nolan was at a loss to explain the horse’s performance today, however felt that the horse may be at a stage of its preparation where it is looking for further distance. A post-race veterinary examination of WHO CAN IT BE NOW failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

Race 8: Game On International C&G Class 4 H’cap - 1110m

When questioned regarding the disapointing performance of PARTY LINES, trainer’s representative Mr Dickenson stated that the horse’s best form had been when it has raced on rain-affected tracks. Jockey T. Treichel stated he had ridden the horse hard to obtain the lead, however PARTY LINES did not respond on straightening, and he felt that the colt may be better suited to rain-affected tracks. A post-race veterinary examination of PARTY LINES failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken
