GENERAL: As O.P. Bosson was to be overweight A. Erhart was substituted as the rider of MR. LAMORAK in race 2, and D. Walsh as the rider of MARAUDING ROGUE in race 8.. O.P. Bosson was fined the sum of $100.

FROM KILCOY RACE CLUB, 5.5.00

B. Stewart was fined $100 for failing to fulfil his engagement on FLYING YEATS in race 1.


FROM ITC, 3.5.00

Trainer G. Stewart was fined $50 for presenting DARCY DANCER incorrectly shod.


RACE 1: RSL SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES H'CAP - 1400M.

ZANDE dislodged its ride, S. Katsidis, during the preliminary, however the filly was quickly recaptured by the Clerk of the Course. ZANDE was subsequently cleared to start.

A veterinary examination of MODEL MATERIAL, which again performed disappointingly, failed to reveal any abnormality.

The track rating was upgraded to dead following this event.



RACE 2: GREENSLOPES EMERGENCY CENTRE H'CAP - 1600M.

Approaching the 1200m., INCENTIVES shifted in and away from WALTAZAR, resulting in CANNY'S GIRL being tightened on to GRAPELLI, causing that horse to be steadied.

The saddle on LEADER MAN shifted forward in the early stages, which caused its rider, S. Seamer, considerable inconvenience for the remainder of the event. This resulted in LEADER MAN racing wide throughout the event.

At the 300m., B. Prebble, rider of ZULU ZEAL, lost the use of his near-side stirrup iron when it fractured. This disadvantaged B. Prebble to some extent in riding ZULU ZEAL out to the finish line.





RACE 3: RSL GIRL IN A MILLION H'CAP - 1820M.

No incidents.


RACE 4: VETERANS RESEARCH FOUNDATION SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES H'CAP - 1200M.

Trainer S. Chirnside was fined $50 for failing to seek the appropriate permission to use heart bar plates on SHADDAI.

CLAYTONS and LUK KAI LUK were tightened for room on jumping away between OVER lSUBSCRIBED and PUKEKO, both of which shifted ground.

On the 1000m., turn, LONG LONG VIVID was reluctant to hold its position when cramped for room by PUKEKO, which in turn was taken in by CAPTAIN SKUTTLE. B. Stewart, rider of CAPTAIN SKUTTLE, was cautioned regarding this incident.

T. Pattillo, rider of ALPINE WHISTLER, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that he permitted his mount to shift in at the 800m., resulting in INDIAN CIGAR and LUK KAI LUK being checked when severely crowded for room. T. Pattillo was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 8 meetings, to commence at midnight, 7 May, and to expire at midnight, 20 May 2000.

LONG LONG VIVID was inclined to hang in rounding the home turn.


RACE 5: SIR BYRNE HART STAKES - 1400M.

Trainer R. Cameron was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for TYPHOON BARNEY by the prescribed time.

SUPER ESPION jumped inwards at the start, inconveniencing CITY FAIR.

On jumping, PLEASURER GIVER and LE ZAGALETTA were hampered when cramped for room between CONFISCATE and NARWONG, which shifted out.

At the entrance to the straight, TYPHOON BARNEY had to be steadied momentarily when NARWONG shifted in to obtain clear running.

A veterinary examination of KIWI HERO, which weakened in the straight, revealed that gelding had sustained a small laceration to the inside of the off hind pastern.


RACE 6: GREENSLOPES PRIVATE HOSPITAL QUEENSLAND GUINEAS SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES - 1600M.

M. Carson was the replacement rider for CRYPTAVIA after J. Byrne had been dually engaged for CRYPTAVIA and THE GOLDEN DANE. A $100 fine was imposed on J. Byrne.

After being loaded, PLAY STATION became fractious in the barriers, which necessitated that horse undergoing a veterinary examination. PLAY STATION was passed fit to start.

Approaching the 1400m., PLAY STATION had to be steadied off the heels of STARTELL, which shifted in.

At the 1300m., THE GOLDEN DANE shifted in and made contact with CRYPTAVIA. CRYPTAVIA overreacted by getting its head up and as a consequence lost ground. FAIRWAY, which shifted in to assume a position behind CRYPTAVIA, was obliged to shift in more abruptly off the heels of CRYPTAVIA when that horse lost ground, resulting in TELESIO being checked when tightened on to the running rail. FAIRWAY, when unbalanced, continued to lay in on TELESIO for some distance, resulting in both horses losing ground. STARTELL, which was following, had to be steadied as a consequence.


RACE 7: RAMSAY HEALTH CARE H'CAP - 1820M.

WAKE FOREST and MR. NADIR SHAH were both slow to begin.

PAUL'S FOLLY lost its off hind plate in running.


RACE 8: CHERRIE LOWE H'CAP - 1400M.

CHINDANCER jumped away awkwardly.

S. Katsidis, rider of the 4th placegetter, RISING ROYAL, was reprimanded for weighing in overweight.








ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
