Trainer Mr G. Ryan confirmed the instructions given to D. Griffin, however was concerned that his rider did not attempt to take a trail behind JADE PRINCE after travelling 100m.. Stewards agreed with Mr Ryan in that apprentice Griffin had erred by not attempting to take a trail after travelling a short distance, and were futher critical of the use made of NO OPTION to gain a position outside the leader in the early stages, which had an effect on the gelding's finishing effort. Stewards advised D. Griffin that as a senior apprentice he should have shown more judgement.
ALL WINNERS AND FORGING AWAY WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
