RACING
RACE 1 CLASS 6 HCP.1200 METRES - (8 STARTERS):. LIFTALA jumped out at the start and made contact with REGAN.
Over the concluding stages RYDER (A. Williams) raced in restricted room between STAGE (D. Rewald) and TERRORIST (C. Taylor) both which shifted ground under pressure.
RACE 2 CLASS 4 HCP. 1100 METRES - (7 STARTERS):. SEATTLE TOWN jumped away awkwardly.
NAVARRA LINGO and SUNHELA were crowded at the start between HAIL THE PRINCE and IRISH FLASH which jumped in.
When questioned concerning the disappointing performance of NAVARRA LINGO jockey A. Lane stated that in the early and middle stages when he was unable to lead his mount refused to settle and compounded when placed under pressure prior to the home turn. A post race vet examination failed to reveal any abnormality.
RACE 3 MAIDEN HCP. 1000 METRES - (8 STARTERS): CHIEF SALIERI was tightened for room at the start between CAGATINA and SUBJUDE both of which jumped away awkwardly.
RAISE A BOB after jumping away awkwardly raced extremely ungenerously in the early and middle stages.
RACE 4 OPEN HCP. 1000 METRES - (9 STARTERS): POP’S VINTAGE jumped away awkwardly.
LEGAL SWITCH, NEVIJARO and TRUST CARD all came together at the start.
Rounding the home turn PEMWAY BOY (G. Bell) was obliged to steady off the heels of LEGAL SWITCH (C. Beets).
RACE 5 CLASS 2 HCP. 1000 METRES – (9 STARTERS): POVERTY ROAD jumped away awkwardly.
HUNKAHOS jumped in and made contact with MILLICENT EM.
Shortly after the start LONG LONG ROAD shifted out and hampered VOODOO CURSE.
T. Williams the rider of LONG LONG ROAD was dislodged from his mount after this event. No injury was sustained by horse or rider.
BOOKMAKERS: Two bookmakers fielded at the race meeting.
SWABBING: All winners were sent to be swabbed and those obtained forwarded to the Racing Science Centre for routine analysis.
