RACE 1. TABSARI PTY LTD MAIDEN PLATE 1000M

DAZARAE (N Nishio) was slow to jump. App. Nishio reported that when he was racing in a rearward position he shifted wider on the track to avoid the very heavy dust kickback.

HOLLA LEGS (N Ogura) which was restless in the stalls, was slowly away.

RACE2 NTS PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES QTIS CLASS2 HCP 1000M

ACTIVE STAR (M O’Brien) which broke through the barriers once loaded, was quickly restrained and returned to the start.

ARESPEE (R Payne) jumped inwards at the start.

CAPTAIN SPUR (G Geran) over raced from the 600m to the home turn.

Trainer J Anderson and App. N Ogura were questioned as to the poor performance of heavily supported SOHO NIGHTS. App Ogura stated that the gelding hung in from the start until the home turn, however then to hang out in the home straight proving difficult ride out. Miss Anderson expressed disappointment with the performance today and further advised that the gelding had a history of bans for hanging in N.S.W. Given the circumstances a warning was placed on SOHO NIGHTS however should the horse race in a similar manner in future starts further action may be taken.

RACE 3 MEACLE FAMILY FLINTON CUP HCP 1000M

DOM PAOLO was subjected to a pre-race Veterinary inspection and passed to race.

THE ROBBER ( W O’ Connell ) became fractious in the barriers rearing over dislodging Jockey O ‘Connell. Jockey O’Connell who was injured in this incident was declared unfit to ride by Ambulance officers. Jockey O’Connell will require Medical clearance prior to riding again. THE ROBBER sustained lacerations and bruising to the jaw and nose areas and was withdrawn at 2-54 pm by order of the Stewards. Upon the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies invested on THE ROBBER to be refunded and the following deductions to apply Win 12c &Place 14c. Deductions were calculated using the Racing Queensland deduction scale due to the inability to access the APN deduction calculator.

Connections were advised that THE ROBBER requires a Veterinary Certificate and a Barrier Certificate prior to racing again.

RACE 4 NFW CLASS3 PLATE 1200M

As W O Connell was injured he was replaced by A Taylor on CHROMED

ONE OUTED (T Banks) which was found to be lame at the start was withdrawn at 3-32pm on Veterinary advice. Upon the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on ONE OUTED to be refunded and the following deduction applied 27c win & 25c place. Deductions were calculated using the Racing Queensland deduction scale due to the inability to access the APN deduction calculator.

Connections were advised that ONE OUTED requires a Veterinary Certificate prior to racing again.

Stewards inquired into the reason for BEAUTIFUL BARB losing ground at the 900m. As the available Patrol Video was inconclusive and unable to assist no direct action was taken. On the riders evidence tendered at the inquiry it was established that at this point of the race COVER UP (N Evans) which was racing to the inside of BEAUTIFUL BARB may have shifted out marginally and ZIPOLITE (G Geran) which raced outside BEAUTIFUL BARB may have rolled in slightly, however as this could not be confirmed, no blame was apportioned to any rider.

COVER UP shifted out under pressure in the straight.

RACE 5 CAMPBELL’S FUEL SERVICES CLASS B HCP. 1200M

W O’Connell replaced by T Banks on LIKE LALA.

IMA BRONZE (N Evans ) jumped out at the start and LUNAR ( G Geran ) jumped inwards taking the running of BUBBALINA ( R Payne ) which lost ground
