Supplementary Report

Prior to the running of the race meeting Stewards were notified that Jockey P. Wolfgram was ill. A Doctors certificate will be required before riding again. Riding changes made as per summary sheet.

Race 3- One For the Road was declared a late Scratching by the Stewards acting on Veterinary advice at 12-30pm.

Race 1- Gatton Shire Council Social Club Plate , Mdn -1400m
1-Kensfair Lady 2- Lady Aura 3-She Shiraz 4- Semi Wells

The start was delayed for 3 minutes while Gastaria was re-saddled .

Both Mocan Bafo Da Onca and Aragog were slowly away and both horses were caught wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

Approaching the 1000m Semi Wells commenced to hang out and had to be steadied .

Pendine hung out over the final stages of the race .

Race 2 - City Pacific Mdn Plate ---1100m
1-Little Lady Dancer 2-Inscribe Smytzer 3- Kings Ivory 4 Amron Fair

Watcha Poco was slowly away and Cold Sweat began awkwardly.

Approaching the 1000m Kings Ivory had to be eased from the heels of Upala Girl . In this incident Stewards advised Jockey R Goltz to exercise more care when crossing to the fence in similar circumstances .

Little Lady Dancer raced wide in the middle stages of the race.

Approaching the 600m She Also Ran became awkward and had to be steadied for a short distance.

Race 3-Pura Milk Mdn Plate ---1100m
1-Glendee 2- Frozen time 3- Tiartoo 4-Akita Bay

Stewards allowed M Manktelow to replace App S Drake on Akita Bay as per Trainer R Howard’s request .
Stewards interviewed App S Drake as to her reason for not fulfilling her engagement and fined her the sum of $100 under AR 85 B Stewards also interviewed App S Drake as to the reason why she was doubly booked for rides in race 3 .After taking evidence from both App Drake and Trainer’s representative P Paton, Stewards also Reprimanded App S Drake under LR 51 (1)

At the start Striking Looks was hampered between Tiartoo which jumped out and Tee Dynasty which began awkwardly.

Allstylze began awkwardly and moved out making contact with Akita Bay

Irish Diamond dwelt at the start ,then approaching the 600m began to over race and had to be steadied from the heels of Allstylze.

Race 4- Panasonic Studio Productions Class1 plate- 1100m
1-Escude 2-Kiap 3-Manly City 4 Austica One

Shortly after the start For Certain and Manly City were both tightened for room between Semifair which moved out and Condy’s Crystals which moved in.

Approaching the 850m Condy’s Crystal had to be eased from the heels of Blazing Time.

Over the final 100m of the race Blazing time was taken in by Kiap.
Stewards opened an inquiry into this incident and App M Hughes was severely reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift ground and his lack of effort to straighten his mount when it did so under AR 137a.

Race 5- Gatton view hotel Class 1 plate –1100m
1- Regal Charmer 2- Cannykia 3- Heiki Lass 4- Local Dust

Both Regal Charmer and Inaspin were slow to begin.

Sancenotti raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

Inaspin raced ungenerously in the middle stages resulting in this horse striking the fence on two occasions.

Over the final 50m of the race The Moops had to be eased off the heels of Inaspin which shifted out

Race 6- Royal Hotel Gatton Class 3 Plate -1100m
1- Slerch 2- Gen Set 3- Zablink 4-Rock The Clock

At the start Mckenny and Rock The Clock were tightened for room by Cashel Flight which jumped in and Dedicated which jumped out.

Dane Lucky ,Zablink and Aqua Leone were all slow to begin.

Approaching the 850m Dedicated was tightened for room by Cashel Flight which moved in.

Approaching the 750m mark Dedicated began to over race and had to be steadied from the heels of Nasarlo. At a subsequent inquiry into the incident at the 850m Stewards ,after taking evidence from all riders involved reprimanded Jockey M Manktelow.under AR 137(a).





Race 7-Lockyer Farm Machinery Class1 Hcp -1400m
1- Forgot 2- Good Luck 3- Carlyle 4- Brockway

On returning to scale Jockey S Apthorpe required medical attention and was stood down for the remainder of the day. A doctors clearance will be required before riding again.

Goldie’s Son began awkwardly and made contact with the right side gate.

Approaching the 1200m turn Mickey Moose had to be steadied when tightened for room to the inside of Who Is Joe which was taken in by Squeeze Me In . Both Good Luck and Deearne were also inconvenienced in this incident.
At a subsequent inquiry into this incident it was established that Squeeze Me In had shifted ground abruptly ,Stewards, after viewing the video evidence and taking evidence from all riders involved as well as Stewards evidence , took no action.


All winners were sent to be swabbed.
