GAYNDAH JOCKEY CLUB STEWARDS REPORT SAT.29.3.03

STEWARDS PANEL: Mr W. Moore

RACE 1: CLASS 3 HANDICAP – 1300M

No racing incidents.

The winner SAHARA AMBER was swabbed.

RACE 2: MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1000M

AL CHOWANT threw its head up on jumping away and lost ground.

DOC HOLLYWOOD hung out throughout the race and pulled up lame in the near fore leg. Trainer D. Bell was instructed a vet certificate must be given to Stewards before the horse can start again.

KAZ’S PRIDE returned to the enclosure with blood visible in both nostrils. Trainer A. Pedron was instructed the horse is banned from racing for 3 months as it was the first time the horse has bled (AR53A). This was noted in the Document of Description Papers.

KAZ’S PRIDE was swabbed.

RACE 3: CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1200M

HATTA’S ROSE and TIGER MAGIC (B. Calkin) came together on jumping away.

CHUCKLING shifted ground in the straight when ridden out.

RACE 4: OPEN HANDICAP – 1212M

GOOD IDEA was tightened for room between SEATTLE ROCK and CONNELLY on jumping away.

CONNELLY got its head up at the 1000 metre mark when eased off the heels of the runners in front.

GOOD IDEA was held up for a run from the 150 metre mark to the winning post.

The winner NOT ANOTHER was swabbed.

RACE 5: CLASS 5 HANDICAP – 1400M

OUR DANERAC starting for the second time today, was inspected by the club vet Dr. I. McInnes and passed fit to start.

The trainer of OUR DANERAC Mr. C. Hayes was fined $25 for failing to declare a rider by the required time. App L. Timson was declared as the rider of OUR DANERAC.

On jumping away MY CRACKER jumped awkwardly taking COHESION out onto LIMERICK LAD.

Rounding the home turn MY CRACKER shifted ground taking LIMERICK LADY wider on the track.
