WEATHER: OVERCAST TRACK: DEAD
RAIL: TRUE POSITION
GENERAL:
Stewards today concluded an inquiry which was opened at Doomben on Wednesday, 16 June 2004 into the reason why S. Seamer was dislodged from MISS EM near the 1100m. in race 5 on that program. Stewards today took further evidence from S. Katsidis (CARLITA MISS), D. Tanti (GYPSY MINX) and S. Galloway (SHE'S BEAUTIFUL), and evidence was taken from S. Seamer, rider of MISS EM. After taking all evidence into consideration and veiwing the video, stewards were of the opinion that approaching the 1100m., GYPSY MINX slightly shifted in and away from HYMN TO HER of its own accord, resulting in GYPSY MINX making contact with the hind quarters of MISS EM. This in turn caused MISS EM to make contact with the running rail for some distance, which resulted in S. Seamer being dislodged from his mount. Stewards were of the opinion that no one rider was at fault and no direct action was taken against any rider.
