SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

Stewards inquired into a complaint from Mr C Gribble the stipendiary steward in charge of the decontamination zone at the stabling gate that trainer K. Tinsley had failed to obey a direction to comply with bio-security protocols. K. Tinsley was charged under AR175(p) for failing to obey an official direction and comply with the procedures and was fined the sum of $300.00.


Race 1: Surfside Buslines Maiden Plate – 1000m.
1st – War Eagle 2nd – Leondari On Ice 3rd – Maybe Bold 4th – Theblackhand

C. Eaton was replaced on IN SHA TIN by D. Barron when C. Eaton had difficulty with her motor vehicle travelling to the races.

IN SHA TIN was slow to begin.

THEBLACKHAND (D. Griffin) jumped away awkwardly.

TOOHOT (App C. Isdale) stumbled shortly after the start losing some ground.

A short distance after the start JENN (D. Pires) commenced to buck and shifted in resulting in WAR EAGLE (L. Morrison) having to be checked. Trainer S. Hunter was advised that the mare must perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial before being permitted to race again.

THEBLACKHAND, EDWARD BEAR (T. Treichel) and LEONDARI ON ICE (M. Heagney) all raced wide throughout.

LIQUIDATE (D. Tanti) was inclined to hang out from the 800m until entering the home straight.

Leaving the 600m JENN which began to overrace had to be steadied off the heels of TOOHOT.



Race 2: PGH Bricks & Pavers 3YO Maiden Plate – 900m.
1st – Dreaming Cash 2nd – Adventurous Angel 3rd – Newsroom 4th - Symatina

Trainer D. Kelly was fined the sum of $100.00 for failing to notify a rider for DREAMING CASH by the prescribed time.

IN NANGANA (D. Tanti) which refused to load was declared a late scratching at 12.40 p.m. by order of Stewards. Prior to the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on IN NANGANA were ordered to be refunded. All winning bets were ordered to be paid less 4 cents in the dollar for a win and 5 cents in the dollar for a place on the face value of the ticket. Connections were advised that IN NANGANA must obtain a barrier certificate before being permitted to race again.

DREAMING CASH (App T. Chambers) and THE VICTA (T. Treichel) both missed the start.

SUN CITY GIRL (L. Morrison) jumped in at the start and brushed CLEAR CONSCIENCE (D. Griffin) and a short distance later shifted out making heavy contact with SUPREMATIVE (L. Cheshire).

App J. Clarke the rider of fourth placegetter SYMATINA was found guilty of a charge under AR137(b) for failing to ride that filly out to the end of the race. App J. Clarke was fined the sum of $1,000.00. In assessing penalty stewards took into account that the actions of App Clarke had cost SYMATINA third place.


Race 3: Monier Roofing QTIS 3YO Maiden H’Cap – 1200m.
1st – Kane Mochi 2nd – Cool Edition 3rd – Lovmieko 4th – Donor Amoris

TANOSHIMI (L. Morrison) was declared a late scratching at 12.46 p.m. when the horse was delayed travelling to the racecourse.

COOL EDITION (D. Tanti) and ONE LAST TANGO (M. Bennett) both jumped away awkwardly.

At the 600m JIM’S JOY (Y. Fujimoto) shifted out off the heels of SUAVE CONSORT (T. Treichel) and brushed THREE CHARLIES (M. Heagney).

MIKAHNA (L. Cheshire) which hung out over the concluding stages and performed poorly was examined by the Club’s veterinary surgeon and found to have no abnormalities.

JIM’S JOY lost it’s off hind plate in running.
Race 4: PGH Rigid Pave QTIS 2YO Maiden Plate – 900m.
1st – Magnificent Dancer 2nd – Tikit To Glory 3rd – Nova Chenka 4th - Posting

RYE CATCHER (T. Treichel) was tightened at the start by LEMARAC LASS (M. Bennett) which jumped outwards.

Leaving the 600m RYE CATCHER had to be checked when improving onto the heels of SANDMINER (App C Isdale).

Near the 350m SANDMINER shifted in when struck with the whip and made heavy contact with the running rail.



Race 5: Mysteel Maiden Plate – 1300m.
1st – Semine 2nd – Zulu Man 3rd – Ralphie 4th – Minnesota Mac

PENTACITY became fractious in the barriers resulting in D. Tanti sustaining an injury to his ankle. PENTACITY then broke away from a barrier attendant and after galloping some distance was withdrawn by stewards acting on veterinary advice at 2.38 p.m. All winning bets were ordered to be paid less 20 cents in the dollar for a win and16 cents in the dollar for a place on the face value of the ticket. D. Tanti was transported to hospital and replaced as per the Stewards Raceday Summary.

STRESS ATTACK (C. Eaton) jumped in at the start and made contact with SHANAMIN (App C. Isdale).

IN STONE (W. Pearson), SEMINE (D. Griffin) and SCOLIERA STREET (App J.Clarke) raced wide in the early and middle stages.

SHANAMIN shifted in and brushed the running rail on straightening.



Race 6: Topcat Safety Rail Class 2 H’Cap – 900m.
1st – Jad 2nd – Magical Joker 3rd - Jimeoin 4th – Prince Cugat

ALLROAR reared on the course proper proceeding to the barriers dislodging it’s rider App C. Isdale. App Isdale was subsequently cleared by ambulance officers to fulfil his riding engagement. ALLROAR was also cleared by the Club’s veterinary surgeon to start.

MAGICAL JOKER (T. TRIECHEL) was held up for clear running from the 400m until leaving the 200m.


App L. Rolls the rider of PRINCE CUGAT was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) for permitting his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of EZERICO (D. Barron) leaving the 300m resulting in EZERICO having to be checked. App L. Rolls’ licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of seven (7) meetings (statewide) to commence midnight 1 December 2007 and to expire midnight 14 December 2007.





Race 7: CSR Bricks & Roofing Class 3 H’Cap – 1300m.
1st – He’s Some Eagle 2nd – Riverstone 3rd – Dashing Dodge 4th – Kalinga Ivor

SANDOWNSTEPPE (K. Purdy), SPRITELY NOTE (App L. Rolls) and COOL EDGE (App J. Clarke) were all crowded on jumping away between HE’S SOME EAGLE (M. Heagney) which shifted out and DASHING DODGE (App L. Dittman) which shifted in.

Near the 1000m COOL EDGE and SANDOWNSTEPPE raced in restricted room as a result of SPRITELY NOTE shifting in.

DOPPELT (App S. Mossman) was inclined to lay out and raced ungenerously approaching the first turn.

KALINGA IVOR (L. Morrison) was held up in the early stages of the straight.



Race 8: Monier Horizon Class 1 H’Cap – 1200m.
1st – Snowladd 2nd – Nuclear Medicine 3rd – Gatakers Bay 4th – Lauren’s Halo

Near the 800m SNOWLADD (W. Pearson) raced in restricted room inside of ASTRAL TRAVAL (A. Merritt) which shifted in away from ARTOUSTE (M. Bennett) which was inclined to lay in.

W. Pearson the rider of SNOWLADD found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that leaving the 500m he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of UNDER CONSTRUCTION (D. Griffin) which resulted in that horse having to be checked. W. Pearson was found guilty of a further charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that leaving the 300m he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of ARTOUSTE resulting in that gelding having to be checked and DETERMINATION (L. Morrison) which was following to be hampered. In relation to the first charge W. Pearson’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings (statewide) and in relation to the second charge a suspension of 8 meetings (statewide). Stewards ordered both suspensions to be served concurrently to commence immediately and to expire midnight 15 December 2007.

ABERCORN (L. Cheshire) and DIVE AT FIVE (App C. Isdale) both raced wide throughout.

The Club’s doctor informed stewards an examination of App C. Isdale following the last race revealed he had sustained an injury to his thumb which would require further attention.
