SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
As jockey M. Bennett was to be overweight stewards permitted rider replacements as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. M. Bennett was fined the sum of $300.00.
Race 1: Culpans Electrical QTIS Maiden Plate – 1400m.
1st – Medesano 2nd – Mambo Princess 3rd – Haitch 4th – Catcher Man
HAITCH (App B. Looker) was slow to jump.
CATCHER MAN (M. Paget) jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and brushed CASMARA GOLD (D. Green).
RADETSKY (D. Griffin) was inclined to overrace in the early stages and did not finish the race off as expected. D. Griffin stated that the horse was at no stage comfortable on the heavy track.
CATCHER MAN was accidentally struck over the head by the whip of D. Griffin on straightening.
HAITCH hung out under pressure approaching the 200m.
M. Paget the rider of CATCHER MAN was fined the sum of $100.00 for returning to scale in excess of 1/2 kilo over his declared weight.
Race 2: PGH Bricks & Pavers Fillies & Mares Class 1 H’Cap – 1200m.
1st – Rock Idol 2nd – Mille Miglia 3rd – Sweet Marie 4th - Havanaise
ROCK IDOL (N. Day), which jumped away awkwardly, was cramped shortly after the start between ESTAROSE (G. Baker) which shifted out and HAVANAISE (App L. Dittman) which shifted in.
KISTACLANG (App T. Chambers) was inclined to hang out when under pressure rounding the home turn.
Race 3: Monier Roofing Class 2 H’Cap – 900m.
1st – Tootsie Zynsky 2nd – Amaizing Royal 3rd – Perilous Princess 4th - Bradford
On straightening AMAIZING ROYAL (N. Day) was disappointed for a run between SEQUALO MORN (G. Spry) and TOOTSIE ZYNSKY (App L. Dittman).
Race 4: PGH Rigid Pave Class 3 H’Cap – 1200m.
1st – Lord Lostock 2nd – Mardi Magrar 3rd – Scudder 4th - Sniparama
CITY LIGHTS (D. Barron) and SCUDDER (D. Tanti) were both a little slow to jump.
SNIPARAMA (App M. Speers) shifted in and bumped the running rail near the 600m and again near the 400m.
Race 5: Mysteel QTIS 3YO Maiden H’Cap – 1000m.
1st – Mr Sugaray 2nd – Eastline 3rd – Pieres 4th – Dr Barnard
DR BARNARD (App B. Looker) was tightened on jumping away between ANGEL GAL (N. Day), which was taken in by MILLY MAGIC (C. Small) and PRISONS (M. Paget), which was taken out by NEVERTOUCHED (App T. Chambers).
BROLGA ROAD (D. Griffin) and FINE STYLE (M. Bennett) were both slow to jump.
Near the 800m NEVERTOUCHED, which was inclined to overrace, had to be steadied when improving onto the heels of PIERES (D. Tanti). NEVERTOUCHED continued to overrace and raced ungenerously for some distance.
Passing the 600m BROLGA ROAD, which was inclined to race ungenerously, had to be checked when improving onto the heels of WILD CAUSEWAY (App L. Dittman). DR BARNARD, which was following had to be checked and lost ground.
M. Bennett the rider of FINE STYLE had difficulty fully testing his mount due to it having a tendency to lay in in the straight.
App B. Looker the rider of DR BARNARD pleaded guilty to a charge under AR137(b) in that he failed to ride his mount out to the finish of the race. After considering submissions on penalty and taking into account mitigating circumstances a fine of $500.00 was imposed.
The start of Race 6 was delayed due to a heavy thunderstorm and following a track inspection when the storm cleared the track was downgraded to “Heavy 10”.
The starting times were amended as follows:-

Race 6: Topcat Safety Rail Class 4 H’Cap – 1400m.
1st – Iluva Queenslander 2nd – Magique Mine 3rd – Prisons 4th - Mossvana
Trainer K. Doughty was fined the sum of $100.00 for failing to seek permission to remove the hoof pads on ILUVA QUEENSLANDER.
Trainer S. Birney was fined the sum of $50.00 for failing to present MAGIQUE MINE in the correct gear.
MOSSVANA (App M. Speers) jumped in at the start and brushed TELESTAH LA VISTAH (App L. Dittman).
Race 7: Monier Horizon Class 2 H’Cap – 1400m.
1st – Swinging To Win 2nd – Use To Be A Dancer 3rd – The Third Bird 4th – High Dee
DEALT A DIAMOND was declared a late scratching at 3.55 p.m. following an application from connections after the track was downgraded to “Heavy 10”.
PENTUP LOVER (O. Ridge) was slow to jump.
D. Griffin reported that LORD LUJAIN had not felt comfortable in the heavy going. A veterinary examination of LORD LUJAIN, which appeared somewhat disappointing, failed to reveal any abnormality.
Race 8: CSR Bricks & Roofing Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 1 H’Cap – 1200m.
1st – Telerian 2nd – Tycoon Ken 3rd – The Roman 4th – San Isidro
Trainer B. Golinski was fined the sum of $100.00 for late declaration of rider for TYCOON KEN.
As App T. Chambers was unable to claim any of her allowance, approval was granted by stewards to allow her to take the ride on TELERIAN. Following an explanation from App Chambers no penalty was imposed however, she was reprimanded and instructed to ensure she claims her allowance in accordance with the Rules in future.
TELERIAN (App T. Chambers) blundered on jumping away.
CANYOUHEARTHEBELL (O. Ridge) was tightened shortly after the start between ONE FUHR THE MONEY (App M. Speers) and COUNT D’FRAME (M. Paget), which was taken out by SUPERTAX (D. Barron).
Passing the 800m TYCOON KEN (B. Calkin) had to be steadied when improving onto the heels of ONE FUHR THE MONEY.
ONE FUHR THE MONEY again had to be steadied approaching the 500m when improving onto the heels of SPRING MAMBO (G. Baker).
