Trainer P. Pengelly was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for ALWYN STREET prior to its next race start.

RACE 4 OPEN HCP. 1000 METRES (7 STARTERS): Following the event J. Piper reported that TURBO EXPRESS, in his opinion, was showing signs of soreness in the off foreleg.
RACE 5 CLASS 4 HCP. 1194 METRES (8 STARTERS): When questioned regarding the performance of AQUILA'S REALM, rider P. Moodie stated that after being marginally slow to begin the gelding commenced to resent the sand being thrown back and as a result he was obliged to race wide in the early and middle stages. He further added that when put under pressure inside the 650 metres AQUILA'S REALM responded well to his riding and made up considerable ground after rounding the home turn.
Stewards noted these explanations.
BOOKMAKERS: Four (4) bookmakers fielded at the race meeting.
SWABBING: All winners were swabbed and the samples obtained were forwarded to the Racing Science Centre for routine analysis.
