RACING
RACE 1 MAIDEN HCP. 850 METRES - (6 STARTERS):. BIG MOUTAIN raced greenly throughout the event and hung out rounding the home turn which resulted in its rider Mark Barnham having to pull his mount up in the straight. Trainer Bevan Johnson was advised that he must barrier trial BIG MOUNTAIN to the stewards satisfaction prior to racing again.
RACE 2 CLASS 1 HCP. 1000 METRES - (6 STARTERS):. SPLASH POINT jumped away awkwardly.
A short distance after the start GENERAL TONG (C. Beets) had to be steadied after shifting out across the heels of YEATS’ MATE, which at the same stage shifted in slightly.
C. Beets reported that in his opinion GENERAL TONG did not handle the sand track.
RACE 3 CLASS 3 HCP. 1000 METRES - (5 STARTERS): OUR ZAC was slow to begin.
HUZZA ran wide around the home turn.
RACE 4 CLASS 5 HCP. 1194 METRES - (5 STARTERS): No racing incidents to report.
RACE 5 OPEN HCP. 1194 METRES – (7 STARTERS): No racing incidents to report.
BOOKMAKERS: Five bookmakers fielded at the race meeting.
SWABBING: All winners were sent to be swabbed and those obtained forwarded to the Racing Science Centre for routine analysis.
