GLADSTONE TURF CLUB STEWARDS REPORT 6/09/03

STEWARDS PANEL: R Doyle (Chairman), G Meek

WEATHER – FINE TRACK – SAND RAIL – TRUE

RACE 1: MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M

When questioned regarding his riding tactics on CANNINDAH ROAD, M Barnham stated that after jumping awkwardly the gelding failed to muster speed when hard ridden in the early stages and that he felt that the 1000m was to short for the horse. His comments were noted.

RACE 2: OPEN H'CAP – 1000M

In the middle stages of the event IN A TRANCE got its head in the air and raced ungenerously.

RACE 3: CLASS 3 PLATE -1194M

BAYARDO dwelt as the gates were released and lost ground. Trainer L Klernan, was advised that a warning would be placed on BAYARDO in relation to its barrier manners.

DIVA DIVINE was inclined to lay out over the concluding stages of the event.

RACE 4: CLASS B H'CAP – 1517M

KING OF KOS and LORD CLINTON blundered at the start.
