Race 1: Xport Plumbing Class 3 Plate- 1000 metres
1st – RARE FIND 2nd – DARK ANGEL 3rd – STAKED EMOTION 4th- TIE HAND

The explanation of Trainer L Kiernan regarding the late rider declaration for STAKED EMOTION was accepted.

STRIKE ME RED (App A. Kitson) and GREYWIN (T. O’Hara) were both slow into stride.

DARK ANGEL (A. Badger), STAKED EMOTION (S. McGovern) and GREYWIN all raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Green Pepper Catering Maiden Plate- 1194 metres
1st – KINKY DAYS 2nd – COCO HEART 3rd – GONE FISSION 4th – YA RECKON

GONE FISSION raced three wide throughout.

Race 3: Gladstone Harbour Festival Class B Handicap- 1194 metres
1st – GORILLA’s MIST 2nd – APACHE GULF 3rd – SINDIBAD 4th – ALYICHI

HARAKA ZULU (L. Dillon) was slow to begin.

GORILLA’S MIST hung out slightly on the home turn.

SINDIBAD (App. C Pye) and GORILLA’S MIST raced wide throughout.

Race 4: Aaron Cameron BM 75 Handicap- 1194 metres
1st – BLAZE TO FORTUNE 2nd – LIBERTY TYCOON 3rd – STREETFIRE 4th – TWOGUNDAN

Near the 400 metres, SIR EMLAND (S. McGovern) was eased from the heels of TWOGUNDAN (App. C Pye) which had rolled in.

Apprentice C. Pye reported that TWOGUNDAN had raced keenly in the early stages and did not feel comfortable at any stage in the race and has failed to finish the race off. App. Pye also reported that she had been instructed to ride the gelding with cover in today’s event. A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormality. Trainer D. Gardiner indicated he may freshen the gelding for its next start.

Race 5: Easter Racing Festival - 1517 metres
1st – TIGERLICIOUS 2nd – CONTO 3rd – DOUBLE TOP 4th – FAIRBRAE

FAIRBRAE (L. Dillon) jumped awkwardly out and hampered CONTO (S. McGovern)

TIGERLICIOUS (A. Badger) and SANSIRA (App K Gates) raced wide throughout.
