Race 1: Find Us on Facebook Maiden Handicap - 850 metres
1st WONGARANDA 2nd EXCLUSIVE KITTY 3rd NARIPSA 4th- MARCHALDEE

PEPPERMINT SAGE (C Pye) was slow into stride.
EXCLUSIVE KITTY (D Hayse) raced wide in the early and middle stages.
MINTO’S DESTINY lay out from approximately the 500 metres to about the 300 metres which placed EXLUSIVE KITTY wide on the track.
MARCHALDEE (A Coome) raced greenly in the home straight when placed under pressure.


Race 2: Gladstone Harbour Festival Benchmark 60 Handicap – 850 metres
1st NORTHERN SHIFT 2nd SWEET LITTLE FILLY 3rd WATER FORCE 4th- PERMISSION GRANTED

Trainer T Cook failed to produce the Document of Description for MAFIA PRINCESS when directed and as a consequence was fined $100.00 under the terms of AR59A(1).

HAYIL METRO pulled its off hind shoe in the saddling enclosure. As there was no farrier on course stewards order the near hind shoe to be removed prior to leaving the saddling enclosure.
HAYIL METRO (L Dillon) was slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
SWEET LITTLE FILLY (D Hayse) was slow to jump.
MAFIA PRINCESS (C Pye) and WATER FORCE (S Sheargold) both raced wide throughout.



Race 3: Williams Grader Hire Class 4 Handicap - 1000 metres
1st SUPERB EFFORTT 2nd BASE JUMP 3rd LEGAL DANCER 4th- FORMAL STAR

SOCIETY LASS (D Hayse) and TIGERLICIOUS (T O’Hara) were both slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
LEGAL DANCER (C Pye) raced wide throughout.
SUPERB EFFORT (K Gates) lay in under pressure in the straight.
Jockey L Dillon reported that ME FAST TOO didn’t handle the heavy sand track.


Race 4: Hidden Dragon @ Lyndhurst Stud Class B Handicap - 1194 metres
1st NISEKO GOLD 2nd MARTY 3rd EMBERS ALERT 4th- SHADOWS

Stewards accepted the explanation from Trainer L Kiernan for not declaring a rider for RED ERIC by the prescribed time. Never less trainer Kiernan was issued with a warning about not contacting stewards if having difficulty finding riders.

Leaving the barriers RIO VISTA (D Hayse) shifted out and bumped RED ERIC (T O’Hara).

Approaching the 1000 metres SHADOWS (K Gates) shifted out for a stride forcing
EMBERS ALERT (S Sheargold) outwards and causing RE ECHO (J Stephens) to be taken across the heels of STAMPEDE STRAP (App S Alam) who had shifted in slightly at the same time.
Jockeys K Gates and apprentice S Alam were both cautioned for shifting ground when not clear to do so.
Approaching the 500 metres STAMPEDE STRAP steadied and lost ground for a few strides after stumbling in the heavy sand.
STAMPEDE STRAP, RE ECHO and SHADOWS (K Gates) all raced wide throughout.
Jockey A Coome reported that PIPIT didn’t handle the heavy sand track.


Race 5: Greg McCann Memorial Open Handicap - 1194 metres
1st BLAZE TO FORTUNE 2nd OTANGO 3rd LIBERTY TYCOON 4th- DIRECT DEBIT

APACHE PUP (L Dillon) was slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
Approaching the 1000 metres KANSKJE (C Pye) over raced and improved onto the heels of LIBERTY TYCOON (T O’Hara).
DINERO RAPIDO (S Sheargold) raced wide throughout.
Jockey J Stephens reported that DIRECT DEBIT did not handle the heavy sand track and as a result commenced to lug in from the 1000 metres until the finish.


Race 6: Diceys Irish Pub Benchmark 55 Handicap – 1517 metres
1st DANE FIRE 2nd SOUTHSIDE 3rd MILWAUKEE BELLE 4th- RYTARGA

DANE FIRE (K Gates) knuckled on jumping.
SOUTHSIDE (L Dillon) jumped inwards and bumped SHALL WE ROCK (D Hayse).
Both SOUTHSIDE and SHALL WE ROCK raced wide throughout.
PLATINIUM PEAKS returned to the enclosure with blood in both nostrils.
Trainer M Hassam was advised as this was the first time PLATINIUM PEAKS had bled it would be barred from racing for a period of 3 months.
