RACE 1: ANZ BANK MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M

BONNE BELIEVER was slow to begin.

P Clarke the rider of HURRY HOME was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in, leaving the 800m, when not sufficiently clear of HONOUR ME, which was forced to ease and shifted in hampering OUR GROMMET in onto RIVER NOTE, which in turn hampered BEST RESPONSE, which was forced to ease. All riders involved in the incident were advised to exercise more care.

RACE 2: RIORDAN GRAIN SERVICES CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1000M

KITSCH was tightened for room and lost ground at the start between IRRESISTIBLE JACK, which shifted in and UMBERTO, which shifted out.

Shortly after the start QUICK BALL shifted out and DANE SKY shifted in making heavy contact.

QUICK BALL shifted out considerably in the straight taking FLASH CIRCLE wider on the track. M Sano the rider of QUICK BALL was advised of his obligations when his mount in shifting ground.

UMBERTO lost the near hind plate in running.

RACE 3:CARRINGTON COTTON CORP & CARRINGTON GINNING CLASS 4 H'CAP–1200M

MONEY PIT reared and lost considerable ground at the start.

Leaving the 1100m, RUBY CELESTE shifted in hampering WHY DAISY, which lost ground.

A post race vet examination of REMBRANDT, which performed poorly, found the horse to have pulled up in a distressed manor. Connections were advised that a vet certificate of fitness would be required prior to next start. Connections contacted stewards on Monday April 10 to advise that on Sunday April 9 the gelding was sore in both fore legs and further indicated that the horse would be retired from racing.

RACE 4: KENWAY & CLARKE PICNIC CUP H'CAP – 1200M

CELESTIAL ABBY was slow to begin.

FYWICK STORY was tightened for room at the start between BOLD MUSIC, which shifted in and SUNDAY JESTER, which shifted out.

Approaching the 900m, COSSEGO, which commenced to lose ground, shifted out hampering MOONSTRIKE. Both SUNDAE JESTER and CELESTIAL ABBY, which were following were hampered and lost ground. COSSEGO continued to lose ground from this point severely hampering MOONSTRIKE.
RACE 5: LEICHARDT GARDEN CENTRE & PLANTS PLUS CLASS B H'CAP – 1400M

TRISTRAM’S TRUCE was slow to begin losing considerable ground.

SADLER’S SCENE blundered approaching the 1200m.





ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
