SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
As C McPherson was indisposed rider replacements as per stewards summary sheet.

Race 1: Main Street Traders Class B H’cap- 1200m
1st- Madame Bartholdi- 2nd Jenmare- 3rd- Mayalbe - 4th Shumie Go

MAYALBE (G Geran) jumped awkwardly loosing little ground.

DAINTY LADY (S Bayliss) was slow into stride.

GLADE (R Kerwin) jumped out at the start making contact with SHUMIE GO (E Chatfield).

I LOVE TOBOUGGIE (S Egan) jumped out at the start making contact with JENMARE (D Northey).

MEGA FLIGHT (A Taylor) and MCCASKELL (B Richardson) raced wide throughout.

I LOVE TOBOUGGIE made the home turn wide.

Race 2: Goondiwindi Hardware, Electrical & Gas Suppliers Maiden Plate- 1000m
1st Princess Jayla – 2nd Jovial Jake -3rd Grey Mambo- 4th Special Yappa

TULLAGRIE (S Egan) jumped in at the start then raced ungenerously in the early stages of the event.

JOVIAL JAKE (G Geran) jumped in at the start making contact with LITTLE FLUTE (A Taylor).

CLOSE RANGE (T Ide) jumped awkwardly and out making contact with ROYCE’S CHOICE (B Richardson).

STAR CHICKS (M O’Brien) was slow into stride and took no further part in the race. Trainer’s representative A Ross was advised that a warning would be placed on STAR CHICKS for it’s racing manners.

UNDA ARM (D Northey) and LITTLE FLUTE made the home turn wide.

Race 3: Combined Hoteliers Open H’cap Open H’cap- 1000m
1st Éclair Magique- 2nd Marquise Star- 3rd The Hand- 4th Obliviator

CATTLEMAN (N Evans) was slow into stride.

OBLIVIATOR (S Egan) jumped out at the start making contact with COURSE HE’S CANNY (B Thomson).

THE HAND (E Chatfield) jumped with head in the air at the start.

ZAHBAJ (B Richardson) jumped in at the start making minor contact with CATTLEMAN.

COUNT HENRY (S Bayliss) had to be steadied shortly after the start when MARQUISE STAR (D Northey) jumped awkwardly and in.

ZOD (T Treichel) was held up for clear running leaving the 100m.

BURMAK (D McWhinney) was inclined to lay in over the concluding stages.

Race 4: Goondiwindi Industrial Sector Class 2 H’cap- 1000m
1st Lady In Sequence-2nd Conahy- 3rd Palais Royale- 4th All For Rome

MARSCAYS EDITION (M O’Brien) jumped with head in the air loosing ground.

CONAHY (G Geran) brushed the outside of the gate.

FREE NEAR FREE (D Northey) was inclined to lay in over the concluding stages hampering COLD TAP (L McCoy).

BELLA SEA (T Harrison) was inclined to lay in over the concluding stages.

B Thomson the rider of ALL FOR ROME reported to the stewards that she felt the horse was lame in front after the event. Vet exam failed to revel any abnormalities.

When questioned regarding the improved performance of LADY IN SEQUENCE (B Richardson), trainers representative T Cosgrove was at a miss with the win, and further stated that he believed that this was the mare’s last run before being retired. Stewards accepted his explanation.

Race 5: Combined Local Real Estate Agents Class 3 Plate- 1400m
1st Fastnstraight-2nd Bonne Affaire-3rd Mossman Bay- 4th Brogla Road

I’LL RULE (G Geran) was slow into stride.

BROLGO ROAD (S Gaffaney) and STREETCAR DESIRE (M O’Brien) raced wide throughout.

BONNE AFFAIRE (B Thomson) made the home turn wide.

FASTNSTRAIGHT (S Bayliss) had a tendency to lay out when placed under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.

When questioned regarding the improved performance of FASTNSTRAIGHT, trainers representative C Smith stated that he believed the drop in class and distance from his previous run had contributed to it’s win. Stewards accepted his explanation.
