RACE 1 MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1150M

RULING PLANET jumped away awkwardly and struck the hind quarters of DANCETTA and lost ground.

CELESTIAL WINA and WINDOWSILL made contact on jumping away

RACE 2 CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1150M

JIMMIE’S GIRL jumped inwards at the start.

Approaching the 1000 metres, JIMMIE’S GIRL improved up on to the heels of GOLD ‘N’ BLUE and had to be steadied.

RACE 3 CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 850M

GENERAL MERIT blundered on jumping away and shifted out making contact with COUNTRY CARAT.

Rounding the home turn, GENERAL MERIT shifted out and made contact with MERLEY’S PRIDE forcing that horse out on to COUNTRY CARAT. GENERAL MERIT continued to shift out to a point at the 100 metres where MERLEY’S PRIDE had to be steadied to avoid that horses heels. D. Gill, rider of GENERAL MERIT, was severely reprimanded in this incident and reminded of her obligation to stop riding and straighten her mount in similar circumstances.

RACE 4 CLASS 6 HANDICAP – 850M

AMAZON WARRIOR blundered on jumping away.

RACE 5 OPEN HANDICAP – 1150M

THURSDAY’S POST was slow to begin and shortly after commenced to race ungenerously and did so until leaving the 800 metres.
