WEATHER – O/CAST TRACK – SAND

RACE 1: RENO AUTO & WIDE BAY CABINET MAKERS MAIDEN H’CAP- 850M

An inquiry was opened as to why OUR CENTURIAN was presented to the saddling enclosure with out its allocated lead bag. After taking all evidence into account trainer A. Jeynes pleaded guilty to a charge under AR.140A and fined the sum of $400.00.

MARKWAY COUNTY jumped in at the start making contact with VOGLIO CHE SAI.

After beginning awkwardly ACHARCAY shifted out and was obliged to race wide throughout the
event.


RACE 2: GINGERS FRUIT &VEG/SHIRLEYS HAIR STUDIO CLASS 2 H’CAP- 850M


After beginning awkwardly MANOR’S DAUGHTER raced wide throughout the event.



Stewards opened an inquiry into why trainer G. McCann did not report to stewards immediately that OSHAWA had bled from both nostrils and also had been removed from the horse tie up stalls and placed in it’s regular stable immediately after that gelding’s race.

After taking all evidence into account trainer G. McCann pleaded guilty to a charge under AR.175a and fined the sum of $2000.00. As this was the first bleeding attack suffered by OSHAWA trainer G. McCann was advised a mandatory 3 month ban would be placed on that gelding.



RACE 3: MCINTOSH MEATS/GOLDEN SPONGE BAKERY/ S-SIDE SPRING REP
CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1150M


The start was delayed when the clerk of the course Mrs C. Donald was kicked in the left leg by a runner in the saddling enclosure and required medical attention.



PHAROS DANCER began awkwardly losing ground.



OFFICE GOSSIP began to over race and shifted out leaving the 1000m and had to be checked and lose ground to avoid the heels of QUID JESTER.



Approaching the 850m both TOMMY BAY and PHAROS DANCER shifted out racing wider on the track.

RACE 5: JOCKEY CLUB HOTEL & SOUTH SIDE SHOP H’CAP – 1150M


Both B. Mahon, the trainer of TERJULE and J. Johnston the trainer of CRIMSON AND GOLD were fined the sum of $25.00 for failing to declare a rider by the prescribed time.

OH CANNY jumped out at the start making contact with WONDER KICK.



TERJULE jumped in at the start making contact with RED CHIP.
