DEMI (K. Sawyers) dipped on jumping away.
Approaching the 600m FREDERIK THE DANE (L. Appo) improved up onto the heels of DEMI and was eased.
LEGAL TECHNICALITY returned to the enclosure with blood visible in both nostrils. As this was the first occasion, trainer Mr A. Greaves was advised the gelding was banned from racing for 3 months and must gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward under the provisions of AR53A. LEGAL TECHNICALITY was swabbed.
STEORRA was inspected by the club veterinary surgeon and was found to have suffered a bleeding attack from both nostrils. As this was the first occasion, trainer Mr L. Maudsley was advised of the 3 month ban from racing and the gelding must gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward under the provisions of AR53A.
The winner QUITE STYLISH was swabbed.
Race 2 FEWTRELL FARMING MAIDEN PLATE 1150M
(1) TO THE FORE (2) LIKAPHANTOM (3) MON TRIST (4) FRISCO’S DIAMOND
HENZELITE was inspected by the club veterinary surgeon behind the barriers at the request of Jockey L. Appo and was subsequently passed fit to start.
DREAM TAKER (C. Kearney) was slowly away.
SPARKLING FLIGHT returned to the enclosure with blood visible in both nostrils. As this was the first occasion, trainer Mr L. Maudsley was advised the mare is banned from racing for 3 months and must gallop in the presence of a Steward under the provisions of AR53A.
The winner TO THE FORE was swabbed.
Race 3 Dr JOHN & SHIRLEY BYRNES CLASS 3 HCP 1000M

FRENARDI (I. Coombes) dwelt at the start and raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

FINAL CRUNCH (D. Gill) dipped on jumping away.
WINLANA (K. Sawyers) was slowly away.
Stewards inquired into an incident approaching the 600m mark where HAYLERGAL (App. C. Priest) and BRAIN EXPLOSION (I. Coombes) both had to be eased. Stewards severely reprimanded Jockey L. Appo, the rider of ROSIE’S BOY for allowing his mount to shift in tightening both App. Priest and I. Coombes.
Stewards reprimanded I. Coombes for the standard of evidence he presented at this inquiry.
The winner HAYLERGAL was swabbed.
