Race 1: Professionals Real Estate Maiden Plate Plate 1470m
HEIRSROC – Slow to begin.
TARGETS - Wide throughout. Shifted out under pressure near the 150m and made contact with another runner.
PIPEMAJOR – Wide from the 600m onwards. Bumped by another runner near the 150m.
CASUAL INTENT – Rider reported that the gelding was making an abnormal respiratory noise through out. Post race vet examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
LENNON’S PADDOCK – Blundered on jumping away.
Race 2: Caltex Food Stop Class B H’CAP - 1170m
BIG SHAKA – Blundered badly on jumping away and lost significant ground. Hung out rounding the home turn.
CRAIGLEA CELERIO – Slow to begin.
ARENKHA – Shifted wider from the 600m.
STORM ANCHOR – Commenced to weaken badly from the 400m and returned to scale without its tongue tie.
ARENKHA – Placed in restricted room near the 1100m and was obliged to steady.
Race 3: Vietnam Vet Assoc In Memory of Gorden Sorenson QTIS Maiden Plate 850m
CRAIGLEA TREACLE – Resented sand kickback from other runners and commenced to lose ground from the 600m.
SIOUXSIE – Slow to begin and lost significant ground
BRILLIANT MISTAKE – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground, also raced awkwardly for a short distance there after.
CRAIGLEA ZED – Resented the sand kickback from other runners and was shifted wider on the track from the 600m. Hung out after passing the winning post and dislodged its rider. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding.
SASIA – Bled from both nostrils post race and as this was the second occasion the mare was barred from racing under AR53A(5)
Race 4: Burnett to the Beach series Benchmark 60 H’Cap 1030m
R Frahr was examined by the ambulance officers following a fall in the previous race and cleared to fulfil his remaining engagements.
HAYLEE PRINCE – Slow to begin. Wide throughout.
JACK HENRY – hung in for a short distance near the 800,
BEL SELEVA – laid in under pressure in the home straight
PATCHE GIFT – Wide throughout
MORE WORDLY – Obliged to steady when placed in restricted room near the 800m.
Race 5: Diggers Cup Memory of Ashley Birt Benchmark 60 H’Cap 1470m
SIP SIP SIP – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Steadied from heels near the 900m.
PRINCE OF FLINDERS – Wide throughout.
TE RANGI – Wide throughout.
SHORTSPRESSO – Rider reported that the gelding was short in its action post race. Vet inspections revealed the horse to be lame in the nearside knee.
Race 6: Gympie Turf Club 150 years of racing Gold Cup Open H’CAP 1170m
TURBO TEDDY – Blundered badly on jumping away and dislodged jockey K Gates who was then examined by the ambulance officers and cleared on any injuries.
HE’S A MORAL – Blundered on jumping away and lost ground.
