Race 1: CLIPSAL SCHNEIDER MAIDEN PLATE Distance - 900m.
( 6 Starters)
1st - DISNA 2nd - DRIVESHAFT 3rd - LORZY 4th - LIGHTNING HUSSAR
TRIBAL HORSE was a late scratching by order of Stewards from this race at 11.45am after Trainer Mr. J. Robbins advised Stewards that he was unable to provide a Barrier Certificate for the horse. In the circumstances no action was taken against Trainer ROBBINS other than to advise him not to nominate the horse again until he can provide a Barrier Certificate for the horse.
At the start LORZY (L.Critoph) jumped outwards and CANNY JEWEL (A.Cox) jumped inwards causing LIGHTNING HUSSAR (A.Cox) which had drawn between those two horses and had been slowly away, to lose further ground. DISNA (J.Felix) was inclined to shift out under pressure over the final 100 metres.

Race 2: RL SWITCHBOARDS CLASS “B” -HANDICAP Distance - 1000m.
(7 Starters),
1st - BEAUCAPPA 2nd - HAYIL AUGUSTUS 3rd - D’LORDSON
4th - PERUGIAN SPIRIT.
BANK FEE (J.Long) travelled wide throughout. At approximately the 200 meters BEAUCAPPA (G.Cullen), which was hanging in, shifted in making contact with PERUGIAN SPIRIT (L.Critoph) which in turn was taken in onto D’LORDSON (J.Felix), tightening that horse’s running and causing D’LORDSON to be steadied off the heels of HAIL AUGUSTUS (P.Cullen). D’LORDSON was then checked approaching the winning post between HAYIL AUGUSTUS and BEAUCAPPA when attempting a run in restricted room. Subsequent to the race G.Cullen, L.Critoph amd J. Felix were shown the patrol film and G.Cullen and J.Felix were each instructed to exercise more care in future.

Race 3: OLEX HAGER B & R OPEN HANDICAP Distance - 1000m.
(5 Starters).
1st - WALTZ TO GLORY 2nd - HOT DICE 3rd - HOW GOOD IS HE
4th - NASTY LION
At approximately the 200 metres NASTY LION (J.Felix) attempted a run between SPRITELY NED (Ms D.Andrews) and HOW GOOD IS HE (P.Cullen) and in doing so bumped the hindquarters of SPRITELY NED which was taken inwards and tightened the running of HOT DICE (A.Cox), which was racing on the fence. J.Felix was cautioned with regards to attempting to take runs where there is insufficient room.

Race 4: DAILY EXPRESS COURIERS CLASS “4” HANDICAP Distance - 1180m. ( 5 Starters).
1st - MONASEECI 2nd - PRICE OF YODELLS 3rd - GENERAL MACARTHUR 4th - GURU CHEIRON
BONNIE LEADER (J.Long) missed the start and had to be ridden hard early to keep in touch.

Race 5: HAYMANS CLASS “2” Class – HANDICAP Distance - 1460m.
(5 Starters).
1st - SHELF SPACE 2nd - KEEN ON YOU 3rd - HAPPY VIKING
4th - MICHIGAN
At approximately the 1200 metres KEEN ON YOU (A.Cox) shifted away from the fence pushing MICHIGAN (J.Long) wider. After passing the winning post SHELF SPACE (G.Cullen) veered out sharply and in doing so took HAPPY VIKING (J.Felix) off the track towards the outside rail. As a result J.Felix was dislodged some 80 metres past the winning post. J.Felix was examined by QAS Paramedics and was found not to have suffered any injuries. Stewards interviewed both riders and determined that no blame could be attached to either rider. No person or horse was injured in the incident.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
