RACE 5. 2014 SANTOS INJUNE CUP OPEN HCP 1400M
Jockey L Appo was questioned regarding his action in allowing JACK’N ‘ME to drift back to a rearward position after jumping well and leading. Jockey Appo explained that the stable felt that the horse raced best when ridden from behind and as a result he elected to restrain in the early stages today to comply with his instructions. He added that despite this JACK’N’ ME only ran on fairly over the concluding stages which he attributed to the big weight the horse was required to carry in today’s event. Stewards noted the explanation.
