STEWARDS PANEL: Mr V.B.GRAY (CHAIRMAN), Mr W.Abel

WEATHER: FINE TRACK: GOOD

RAIL IN TRUE POSITION


RACE 1: WEIGHT FOR AGE – 1800 Metres
Jockey M.Elliott was indisposed and was replaced on KOOL KALI by R.Bellert.
THYLACINE was fractious in the starting stalls and was consequently slow into galloping action.
ELQUABOW moved ground inwardly at the 200mtr mark when asked for an effort.

RACE 2: CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200 Metres
Jockey M.Elliott was indisposed and was replaced on COUNTRY ROADS by R.Bellert who was given permission to ride at 1 kilo overweight as there were no other riders available.
The declaration of correct weight was delayed when the connections of COUNTRY ROADS asked to see the print. After viewing a very inferior print, then to support the Judges decision.

RACE 3: CLASS 6 PLATE - 1200 Metres
No incidents in running.

RACE 4: CLASS 4 HANDICAP - 1100 Metres
ZEDDAFAIRS jumped awkwardly, then hung out all the way.
Stewards spoke to Apprentice L.Buckingham and Trainer A.Cooper regarding poor performance of TAY EXPRESS. The Apprentice reported that the horse didn’t feel right and the Trainer advised that the horse would be spelled.

RACE 5: CLASS 3 PLATE - 900 Metres
JACOBS RUN ridden by P.D’Adonna, drifted out from the 600 meters dictating to UNBRIDLED LOVE and carting that horse wide.
