Race 1:Weightlifter QTIS Maiden Plate Distance –.900m.

1st Crafty’s Brother 2 nd – Strickly A Danger 3rd – Young Dub 4th- Rose Sparkles

Rose Sparkles (J Stopps) and Naughty ‘N’ Nice (Ms. K Penrose) were reluctant to enter the starting stalls. Lady Clang (G Kliese) was slow into galloping action. Mountain Fury (D Crossland) jumped outwards when the gates opened. Let’s Mambo ( F Edwards) was reluctant to race generously for the majority of the race. Naughty ‘N’ Nice raced wide on the track for the major part of the race.
At the 600m. position Pearl Monarch (Ms.D Armstrong) eased off the heels of Miss Wonderli (Ms. L Buckingham)

Race 2 Innisfail Retravision Handicap Distance—900m.
1st - Awesome Night 2nd - Medowie Express 3rd - No Respect 4th- King Of Comic.

At the 5oom. Position Silver Native (I Toward) eased when Medowie Express (M Elliott) and Didjano ( Ms. D Armstrong) moved in slightly, the situation was aggravated by the fact that Silver Native was over racing at that stage in the race.
Didjano moved in on to Silver Native as the horses crossed the finishing line.







Race 3: Telesat Services Class 4 Handicap. Distance—1100m.
1st - Stalking Shadow 2nd – My Saladin 3rd - City Of Smiles 4th- In New York.

Jockey R Ryan was overweight and was replaced as rider of Catboy by P Cullen.
R. Ryan was fined $50 under the terms of A.R. 120(b) for accepting a ride for which he was unable to make the weight. In New York (C MacCallum)was slow into galloping action When the gates opened Nagomi (F Edwards) jumped awkwardly.

Race 4: Innisfail Stockfeeds Class B Handicap Distance—1200m.

1st. Clarinet 2nd - Nathan’s Command 3rd - Lord Ransom 4th- Kwil Tana

Trainer J Robbins was fined $50 under the terms of L R 70 (1) for omitting to nominate a rider by the required time. When the gates opened Brightazz (Ms. P Edwards) jumped out and Fuel To Burn
(Ms D Armstrong) jumped in, the two horses making connect. In recovering Fuel To Burn blundered and shifted in again making heavy contact with Brightazz. Krupnik left the starting stalls awkwardly and after travelling a short distance was pulled up by rider L. Nelson who believed that the tree in his saddle had broken. The saddle was examined by the Stewards which will be the subject of a supplementary report.
Brightazz raced wide for the major portion of the race.

Race 5 – Innisfail Advocate Class 6 Handicap Distance – 1500m.

1st. Sussex 2nd – Skyways 3rd – Fremantle Doctor 4th- Fubutu.

Skyways (C McCallum) threw it’s head in the air as the gates opened.
At the 800m. position Semi Promise (G Kliese) eased when Skyways shifted in .
Fubutu returned to scale sore in the off fore leg. The gelding was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was found to have bowed it’s off fore flexor tendon.
