RACE 1: HOFFMANNS PLUMBING H'CAP - 1350M.

DIFFERENT REASON jumped awkwardly.

LADY ISABELLA lost its near hind plate in running.



RACE 2: J.W. BERRY & CO H'CAP - 1350M.

Apprentice D. Wheeler was fined $100 for failing to claim the majority of his allowance.

KAAPTIVE DELIGHT jumped awkwardly, and a short distance later shifted in, inconveniencing BRIAR'S ARMY.

SEA HARVEY began awkwardly.

Near the 1100m., IRON ORE shifted in and brushed the hind quarters of KAAPTIVE DELIGHT.


RACE 3: THE IPSWICH ADVERTISER H'CAP - 1100M.

As. G. Galloway was indisposed, J. Byrne was substituted as the rider of SUNDIAL, K. Waller as the rider of VISTA MELODY (Race 4), S. Seamer as the rider of PAVLODAR (Race 6)

AWESOME LOVER was a late scratching at 8.50 a.m.. A veterinary certificate will be tendered.

PEDRO'S EXPRESS jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

FRENCH GENTLEMEN was hampered shortly after the start when tightened for room between PROUD LIGHT and SUNDIAL.

FRENCH GENTLEMEN raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages.



RACE 4: ORLANDO WYNDHAM H'CAP - 1100M.

COME ON JESS lost ground after jumping away awkwardly and then raced ungenerously in the early stages.

ROJAH RIVER shifted out on jumping away and made contact with DOKIC.

Near the 700m., CANADA COUNTRY had to be steadied to avoid the heels of TIME DANCER, which shifted in when racing greenly.

Approaching the 200m., DISCREET AFFAIR had to be steadied to avoid the heels of GRAND DIVA, which shifted in.


RACE 5: DON MCMILLIAN SOLICITORS H'CAP - 1100M.

Shortly after the start, PHYLSON shifted out and made contact with TOAST A LADY, which in turn shifted out and brushed FRENCH MOVIE STAR.


RACE 6: I.G.T. H'CAP - 1000M.

MORE DRAMA shifted out on jumping away, taking STAR MARQUIS out on to ROSE OF GLADFIELD.


RACE 7: SUNCORP METWAY BUSINESS BANKING H'CAP - 1666M.

TEKWILA jumped awkwardly.

HARMONY ROAD pulled hard in the early stages.

Jockey S. Seamer was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of PAVLODAR, S. Seamer stated that the mare was under pressure at the 700m. and failed to respond. A veterinary examination of PAVLODAR failed to reveal any abnormality.

Approaching the 200m., CHIVALRY was held up for clear running for a short distance.


RACE 8: A.O.N. INSURANCE SERVICES H'CAP - 1500M.

SEMI JEWEL was slow to begin.

Passing the 1200m., IN SINGAPORE, when pulling hard, shifted out and away from heels of BOLSHEVIK.

Approaching the 1000m., MAORI GOLD had to be restrained off the heels of OUR CHEVAL.

For some distance passing the 500m., RELUCTANT GROOM was hampered when tightened for room between FERNDALE and OUR CHEVAL, both of which shifted ground.
