SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

From BTC – 15.1.05: Trainers S. Jones and T. Rogers were fined $50 each for the ineligible nominations of RUSSELL ON and EMPOWERED respectively.

Race 1: EYE LINER MEMBERS FUNCTION CENTRE 3YO & UP MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M
1st – Scarlet Stalker 2nd – Mr Clancy 3rd – Heaven And Gold 4th –Dodge Beauty

OUR REFLECTION (M. Pelling) and I'M A NUISANCE (B. Hull) were both extremely slow to begin. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on both geldings.

SCARLET STALKER (G. McKeon) jumped away awkwardly.

SCARLET STALKER was inclined to overrace from the 700m to the 500m.

SHERAZADE (H. Hamada) and DANZARENA (B. Stewart) raced wide throughout.

DANZARENA hung out making the home turn.

Race 2:QRSE TRACKSIDE RACEDAY FUNCTIONS CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1000M
1st – Indi Rhythm 2nd – Oh Kitty 3rd – Light The Pipe 4th – French Dagger

Stewards accepted trainer B. Wakefield's explanation for the late notification of J. Stanley as the rider of BRIEF ENCOUNTER.

LASSUSIE (J. Taylor), YARROW (D. Craven) and DANGEROUS HOST (S. Galvin) were all slow to begin.

On jumping away the saddle slipped slightly on DANGEROUS HOST.

ROAR TALENT (Z. Purton) raced greenly throughout and approaching the 800m shifted out abruptly, causing YARROW to be tightened for room and lose ground.

Race 3:WWW.SKYCHANNEL.COM.AU CLASS 1 C, G & E H'CAP – 1200M
1st – A Royal Tale 2nd – Easy Receipt 3rd – Galaxy Fighter 4th – Notorae

EASY RECEIPT was inspected by the Club's veterinary surgeon prior to the start and passed fit to run.

BANNING'S REPLY (M. Dickson) was hampered at the start between MONTE LEONE (M. Pelling) and SOUTHBROOK KID (C. Eaton) which shifted out.

BANNING'S REPLY, which was inclined to overrace during the early stages, clipped the heels of ANCIENT KING (J. Sharp) leaving the 800m and blundered.

Leaving the 400m ANCIENT KING was eased when taken out abruptly by A ROYAL TALE (A. Pattillo) across the heels of SOUTHBROOK KID which shifted in.

A post-race veterinary examination of ANCIENT KING failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 4: SKY CHANNEL LIVE RACING CLASS F & M H'CAP – 1200M
1st – Flying Medico 2nd – Tejanda 3rd –Miss Shinko 4th – Hardcore

Leaving the 1000m MISS SHINKO (G. Birney) was forced to ease from the heels of ROCK THE CLOCK (J. Murphy) which shifted in. TEJANDA (A. Pattillo), which was racing to the inside, was also placed in restricted room. J. Murphy, the rider of ROCK THE CLOCK, was reprimanded for this incident.

Leaving the 800m HARDCORE (D. Griffin) was obliged to ease from the heels of TEJANDA. HARDCORE continued to race greenly on that horse's heels for some distance.

When questioned regarding the improved performance of FLYING MEDICO (J. Sharp), trainer M. Nolan informed stewards that he was at a loss to explain the improvement. He added that today's run had been the horse's last opportunity before being retired and that he was as surprised as stewards with the horse's improved performance today.

The Club's veterinary surgeon reported that ROCK THE CLOCK sustained lacerations to the off hind cannon.

Race 5: VISIT OUR BRIDAL FAIR MAIDEN H'CAP – 1350M
1st – Foreign Title 2nd – Boss Bear 3rd – Charnook 4th – Supreme Command

Trainer D. Newham was advised that, because of its pre-race barrier manners, AZIZI YAH would have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial before starting again.

FOREIGN TITLE (M. Pelling) was slow to begin.

SUPREME COMMAND (A. Pattillo) jumped away awkwardly, making contact with the barriers and hampering WIDGET (B. Stewart).

Both SAILOR GAL (S. Seamer) and GARRICK (R. Pittman) raced wide throughout.

Leaving the 800m CITY WALTZ (J. Sharp), which was racing in restricted room, blundered and lost ground.

Leaving the 350m FOREIGN TITLE shifted out, tightening CITI WALTZ out on to the hind quarters of ORDOS (J. Murphy).

For some distance leaving the 350m ALFEE CLANGER (Z. Purton) was held up for clear running.

Leaving the 200m CHARNOOK (J. Warrington) shifted out to obtain clear running.

Race 6: IPSWICH CITY COUNCIL CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1350M
1st – Bernyard 2nd – Jackson Hill 3rd – Lara's Way 4th – Goldie's Son

Trainer G. Cornish was fined $50 under AR. 140A for negligence in the saddling of ALL BROWN.

TRANQUIL BLUE (R. Morris) and GOLD TREAT (R. Pittman) came together on jumping.

Approaching the 1000m GOLD TREAT (R. Pittman) clipped the heels of BERNYARD (J. Powell) which shifted in and away from KAORU TIME (M. Dickson). Jockey J. Powell was severely reprimanded for this incident.

Leaving the 800m HILLGROVE EXPRESS (L. Deguara) was forced to ease after being placed in restricted room by BERNYARD which shifted in. LARA'S WAY (G. Birney), which was following, was also forced to ease from that horse's heels.

Approaching the 700m JYI'S PROSPECT (J. Taylor), which was overracing, was obliged to steady from heels, losing ground.

Near the 350m LARA'S WAY was forced to ease from the heels of HILLGROVE EXPRESS (L. Deguara) which shifted out.

KULAK (M. Pelling) was held up for clear running over the concluding stages.

Race 7: ENJOY A SCHWEPPES LEMONADE CLASS 1 – 1666M
1st – Fords Bridge 2nd – Naples Avenue 3rd – Magic Gold 4th – Razyana Queen

As G. Palmer was indisposed, R. Pittman was substituted as the rider of LOOK AT HIM.

LOOK AT HIM (R. Pittman) was slow to begin.

Approaching the 1500m MORGAN'S DARE (L. Cook) had to be checked when placed in restricted room on the inside of SHIBDEN GROVE (J. Sharp) which, whilst being ridden forward, shifted in to avoid the heels of NAPLES AVENUE (M. Pelling) which shifted in. Both M. Pelling and J. Sharp were reprimanded for this incident.

Approaching the 1300m both SIERRA SAL (S. Richardson) and SHIBDEN GROVE (J. Sharp) were forced to steady off heels when the pace slackened. SHIBDEN GROVE then continued to overrace for some distance.

Jockey J. Stanley, the rider of RAZYANA QUEEN returned to scale overweight and was subsequently fined the sum of $100.

Race 8: QRSE XXXX AS GOOD AS GOLD CLASS 5 H'CAP – 1666M
1st – Miss Gloryhunter 2nd – Winsome Loot 3rd – Aidan James 4th – Royal Dreamer

GLAD FAIR (G. Birney) and AIDAN JAMES (M. Cant) were both slow to begin.

Jockey J. Powell, the rider of WISEPOINTS, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, being that leaving the 1400m he allowed his mount to shift in forcing SOUND WAVES (B. Stewart) in on to MY ANNUITY (R. Pittman) resulting in that horse being forced to relinquish its position and lose ground. J. Powell's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings, to commence at midnight on Saturday, 22 January and expire at midnight on Thursday, 3 February 2005.

WINSOME LOOT (S. Seamer) raced ungenerously from the 1300m until leaving the 1000m.

Leaving the 700m SOUND WAVES was obliged to ease from the heels of WINSOME LOOT. GLAD FAIR (G. Birney), which was following, was forced to check from that horse's heels and shifted in resulting in AEROLITO (A. Pattillo) being tightened on to the fence, checked and losing ground.

Approaching the 200m GLAD FAIR shifted in to obtain clear running, slightly hampering KOBI COVE (K. Pope).
