SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS
Stewards today continued an inquiry into an incident approaching the 250m in Race 7 at Eagle Farm on 25 April 2005. After hearing considerable evidence, stewards found that SCENIC WELLS (M. Pelling) had to alter course around the heels of FOREST JIM (A. Pattillo), which was in the process of shifting out, and after proceeding to a run inside of VOLKSINI (J. Byrne), SCENIC WELLS and VOLKSINI made heavy contact when VOLKSINI was taken out slightly by COGNISANT (B. Stewart). In this incident VOLKSINI became unbalanced and made contact with the hind quarters of COGNISANT. ENABLER (T. Treichel), which was racing to the outside of FOREST JIM, had to be checked when tiring between FOREST JIM, which shifted out, and LATINLOVER (G. Palmer), which was inclined to shift in. After considering all evidence, A. Pattillo was given the benefit of the doubt as to whether he had exercised sufficient care when shifting ground and he was severely reprimanded. G. Palmer was also reprimanded for failing to take sufficient measures to keep his mount straight.

M. Cullen, the rider of KOOMERANG TOO, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding in that near the winning post he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of LOOK AT HIM, resulting in LOOK AT HIM being checked and POCKET EXPRESS (A. Pattillo), which was following, striking that horse's heels and dislodging A. Pattillo. M. Cullen's licence to ride was suspended for a period of one calendar month, to commence at midnight tonight and expire at midnight on Friday, 27 May 2005. A.
