SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
As M. Cahill, S. Apthorpe and B. El-Issa were indisposed, riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.
Race 1: Altec Carports QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate – 1350m
As R. McMahon was to be overweight, C. Munce was substituted as the rider of ANONYMISS KITTY. The explanation tendered by R. McMahon was accepted.
Correct weight was delayed to allow the connections of the 5th placegetter, SIX BALLS AGAIN to view the photo-finish image for 4th. Subsequently they were satisfied with the Judge's placings and correct weight was semaphored.
HYPERACTIE (J. Taylor) was slow to begin.
QUEEN CAESAR (T. Bell) shifted out under pressure and bumped ANONYMISS KITTY (C. Munce) near the 50m.
A post race veterinary examination of BEAUTIFUL MEG, which finished tailed off, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Connections of BEAUTIFUL MEG and SOPHIE'S WORLD, which also performance poorly, were advised that both horses would not be permitted to race in the metropolitan or provincial areas until they showed form improvement.
Race 2: Altec Patios Maiden H'cap – 1200m
MR PENNYPACKER (D. McIntosh) was slow to begin.
Rounding the home turn, DRYAZ (S. Bogenhuber) improved up on to the heels of PATHETIQUE (J. Kokotajlo) and had to be steadied.
OAK FIRE (R. Ride) and RIDEONABIGJETPLANE (J. Orman) raced wide throughout.
Race 3: QBIC Maiden H'cap – 1350m
LULIN, which kicked out repeatedly in the gates and had its near hind caught between the back gates, was withdrawn by the order of the stewards at 1.37 pm. Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on LULIN were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable.

DRESSEDFORSUCCESS, which was examined by the veterinary surgeon behind the gates at the request of its rider, was cleared to start.
LIKE LALA (J. Byrne) was slow to begin.
Near the 400m, I'M GOING DOWN (M. McGuren) was tightened for room between SHE'S A DAZZLER (S. Bogenhuber) and SEQUAJAKE (R. Wiggins), which shifted in slightly.
Race 4: OAMPS Insurance Brokers Benchmark 70 H'cap – 1500m
BOSSBERG (T. Bell) began awkwardly and shifted out, making contact with TAIL OF A DIVA (C. Munce).
RUN JAKE RUN (C. Schmidt) and CYCLONE AL (A. Fancourt) were slow to begin.
Near the 1200m, MAC'S ADDICTION (N. Tomizawa) had to be steadied when racing to the inside of STRUMMING (M. McGuren), which was taken in by PETERBONETTI (V. Colgan). V. Colgan, rider of PETERBONETTI, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
MAJESTIC SOUND (A. Butler) raced wide in the early stages and near the 1000m was allowed to stride forward and assume the leading position near the 800m.
MAGINNIS MAGEE (R. Jamieson) raced wide for the majority of the race.
Race 5: Fry's Spares Class 1 H'cap – 1666m
GODDESS OF LUCK (J. Byrne), LA NICHE (L. Cheshire) and BIG MAX (R. Jamieson) were slow to begin.
DIAPHYSIS (M. McKenzie) began awkwardly and shifted out, making contact with SKILFUL PAT (N. Tomizawa).
VIVE LE VENT (C. Schmidt) began awkwardly and shifted in, forcing POUND ON TUBBY (V. Colgan) on to MAGIC IN ACTION (S. Sheargold).
Leaving the 1500m, POUND ON TUBBY, when overracing at the heels of WINNING FASHIONS (C. Munce), shifted in abruptly, making heavy contact with GODDESS OF LUCK, which in turn was forced in on to LA NICHE (L. Cheshire), causing both runners to be checked. As a consequence, BIG MAX, which was following, had to be steadied.
HENDY (T. Bell) raced wide for the majority of the race.
JO'S LUCK lost its off hind plate in running.
GO AS YOU PLEASE lost its off fore plate in running.
Race 6: Daewoo Bus Queensland Class 2 H'cap – 1350m
TIGERPRINT (K. Forrester) began awkwardly and a short distance later shifted out, making contact with CHANTILLY MISS (S. Fawke).
Shortly after the start, DANZ ART (J. Hoopert) had to be momentarily steadied from the heels of MORE DUST (J. Byrne), which shifted in.
Near the 1000m, TIGERPRINT (K. Forrester) shifted in and made contact with CANSHEBEE (W. O'Connell), causing that horse to become unbalanced.
Rounding the home turn, LULLABY LADY (C. Munce), when endeavouring to improve, shifted out around the heels of DANZ ART (J. Hoopert), making contact with SEXTANT (R. Ride).
In the home straight, MORE DUST (J. Byrne), when endeavouring to obtain clear running, shifted out and bumped CHANTILLY MISS on a number of occasions.
DANZ ART (J. Hoopert) raced wide throughout.
When questioned, C. Munce could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of LULLABY LADY. A post race veterinary examination of LULLABY LADY failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
Race 7: King Long Cup Class 1 H'cap – 1200m
ROOMS ON FIRE (N. Tomizawa) was slow to begin.
WESTERN BUZZ (N. Evans) blundered on jumping away.
ECHO BERRY (T. Bell) was tightened for room on at the start between KARZING (J. Hoopert) and COOLOOLA (L. Cassidy), both of which shifted ground.
Near the 800m, DINNA SIGN (T. Wolfgram) blundered of its own accord.
Leaving the 800m, ROOMS ON FIRE had to be restrained from the heels of TROPHY HUNTER (R. Payne).
Rounding the home turn, COOLOOLA shifted out, forcing WESTERN BUZZ wider on the track.
A post race veterinary examination of KHAANTANTES revealed the horse was suffering from heart arrhythmia. Connections were advised that prior to its next race start, the horse must trial satisfactorily, and a veterinary clearance, including the results of an ECG must be provided to stewards.
Race 8: Brisbane Higer Class 3 H'cap – 1200m
As R. Wiggins was to be overweight on MUERTOS, V. Colgan was substituted as the rider of that horse. R. Wiggins was fined $100.
NAKANAI (L. Rolls) was held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
BELGRANDO (C. Munce) raced wide throughout.
R. McMahon, rider of TIGER TALES, was reprimanded for using his whip in consecutive strides in a forehand manner prior to the 100m.
A post race veterinary examination of BELGRANDO, which performed below market expectations, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
