STORMY SEA – On return to scale rider M. Cahill reported to stewards that his mount travelled fairly until near the 1000m, however it was never comfortable from that point onwards, and whilst pushing his mount along leaving the 500m, he never placed the horse under any further pressure and allowed the horse to go to the finish untested. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
