Race 1: CALTEX ENERGY AUSTRALIA/HART FAMILY GROCERY STORE CLASS 6 PLATE 1000m

Stewards permitted Jockey W. Doyle to replace Jockey R. Sue-San as the rider of TRANSPIRE as a result of R. Sue-San being unable to make the correct weight. R. Sue-San was reprimanded under rule AR. 120(b). In assessing penalty stewards took into account jockey Sue-San's exemplary record in relation to this rule

HEART THROB – Fractious in barriers.

LEGAL STAR – Slow to begin.

Race 2: GP CATTLE COMPANY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m:

SIEDE TRACK - was scratched @ 12:45pm as there were no riders available.

ELLE STYLE – Stood flat footed lost considerable ground and took no competitive part. Trainer H. Forster was advised the mare would be required to officially trial and obtain a barrier certificate prior to it’s next start.

TUCKSHOP OPTIONS – Shifted out on jumping away.

ME MYSELF AND I – Shortly after the start attempted to jump the running rail, resulting in the colt making heavy contact with the running rail, falling and causing the jockey to be dislodged. Post-race ME MYSELF AND I was treated by the veterinary surgeon after sustaining injuries to its near hind quarter and lacerations to all legs. Trainer R. Simpson was advised the colt will require a full veterinary clearance and would also have to officially trial prior to its next start.

Race 3: SUFFREN & MOORE CIVIL/CLANCY’S OVERFLOW HOTEL CLASS B HANDICAP 1200m:

Jockey R Sue-San was inspected by ambulance officers and cleared to fulfill his further riding engagements.

COPY THIS - Was scratched @ 2:15pm as there were no riders available.

JUST A PLEASURE – Fractious in the barriers, resented the kickback.

NO INVOLVEMENT – Slow to begin.

FLIRTING DRAGON – Raced wide the majority.

Race 4: RAYNER’S CRANE HIRE BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200m:

SPIRIT OF MANY – Reared as the start was affected and lost ground.

CRYSTAL MATES – Raced wide the majority.

TENMOREGRAND – At the 950m had to steady when tightened for room.


Race 5: OMA CONTRACTING & ROSS CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400m:

BOYS SPLURGE – Raced wide throughout.

FORCED SALUTE – Post race veterinary exam revealed the gelding to be lame on the off fore. Trainer C. Prow was advised that he will be required to produce a veterinary clearance for FORCED SALUTE prior to its next start.

Race 6: ISIS DOWNS SHEARING SHED CENTENARY/THE CELEBRATION OPEN HANDICAP 1400m:

LUCASAM – Raced wide throughout.

TATYOON – Raced wide throughout.
