SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
LATE RIDING CHANGES
As S Sweedman, L Roberts and G Butler were indisposed, the following riding replacements were made as per Stewards Summary Sheet.
S Sweedman, L Roberts and G Butler were advised that a medical certificate will be required.
App A Smith phoned through that she had mechanical problems and would not make it to the course on time, rider changes as per Stewards Summary Sheet.
Race 1: Jandowae Hoteliers Race Maiden Plate - 900m
1st - Haldrow 2nd – Lady Ariahl 3rd - Rumncola 4th – Prince Roamanico
PRINCE ROAMANICO (C Priest) jumped out at the start making contact with SPIN KAT (S Bayliss).
LA MAJEUR (C Bumstead) jumped in at the start making contact with SUPER FIGURES (S Apthorpe).
Shortly after the start SUNWAVE (S Egan) shifted out making contact with JAMAICIAN LASS (C Kearney).
HALDROW (B Thomson) made the first turn wide.
SUNWAVE made the home turn wide.
Race 2: Jandowae & Dalby Business Houses Class B Handicap - 1200m
1st – Barramundi 2nd – Frisco Affair 3rd – Diamond Del 4th – Bita Sequalo
CARDINGTON (C Priest) was fractious behind the barriers dislodged it’s rider was quickly apprehended by clerk of the course. App C Priest took a harmless fall and was cleared to ride. CARDINGTON was vet examination and was cleared to start.
BRONZE TINKA (M O’Brien) was slow into stride.
OUR GIRL MEG (S Richardson) jumped awkwardly in making heavy contact with BRONZE TINKA at the start.
PRINCESS NIKITA (S Egan) raced wide throughout the event.
DIAMOND DEL (B Thomson) was held up for clear running approaching the winning post.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of OUR GIRL MEG, S Richardson stated that as the filly began very awkwardly and lost ground, she did not respond well to the dirt and dust coming back on her, she would not take up a handy position. S Richardson explanation was noted.
Race 3: Wambo Shire Cup Class 4 Handicap - 1100m
1st – Sofie Fatale 2nd – gallant Pilot 3rd – All For Rome 4th – Bigger Than
PRINCE HAVOC (M O’Brien) suffered a bleeding attack during the event. The gelding will incur a mandatory 3 month ban from racing. A swab sample was taken from PRINCE HAVOC.
GALLANT PILOT (S Apthorpe) and SOFIE FATALE(B Thomson) both made the home turn wide.
Race 4: Jandowae Cup Open Handicap - 1200m
1st – Laertes 2nd – I Dared 3rd – Flying Squaw 4th – Burmak
FLYING SQUAW (C Bumstead) jumped with it’s head in the air at the start.
JYI’S PROSPECT (L Appo) and SNAGAPOT (M Cullen) both raced wide at the 600m.
MYAGI (G Geran) raced wide throughout.
LAERTES (B Thomson) and FLYING SQUAW made the home turn wide.
Race 5: Memorial and Trainers Trophy Class 3 Handicap - 1500m
1st – Simple Stuff 2nd – Hot Flushes 3rd – Picawile 4th - Northbank
PICAWILE (S Apthorpe) tendered to over race in the early stages of the event.
MR SEQUALO (S Bayliss) raced wide throughout.
FREEBOOTERS (B Powell) made the home turn wide.
