Race 1:Mid-Strenght Mdn. Plate ------------- 800m

1st Cividel 2nd Hulette 3rd Multi Quick 4th Faith in A Flash

A warning was issued to Cividel for delaying the start of the race by its bad barrier manners .

At the start Moreton Magic was hampered and lost ground when Cividel jumped in and Multi Quick jumped out .
Irgun Warrior was tightened for room at the 500m mark when Danzig Red ,which was racing greenly, rolled in .
Poppy Seed and Danzig Red came together at the start ,and Faith In a Flash jumped out at the start hampering
Mod’s Memory.


Race 2;; Lite Ice Class 1 ------------------1500m

1st Gothic Star 2nd Lightning Angel 3rd Office Gossip 4th Valid Reason

Lawson Hill was slowly away and then after travelling 100m proceeded to buck ,dislodging the jockey ( P. Spry )
P.Spry was not seriously hurt in the incident but on medical advice was stood down for the day . A doctors certificate will be required before jockey P. Spry resumes riding
Stewards placed a ban on Lawson Hill until the horse performs satisfactorily at an official barrier trial .
At the turn out of the straight Midas Lass and Diamond Time ,both hung off.
Office Gossip was caught wide in the middle stages of the race .
Midas Lass which was racing greenly ,rolled about approaching the home turn causing Yanada Mundara to be eased .
Party Elf was caught wide approaching the home turn .

Race 3::: Crown Lager Class B Hcp:: ------------------------1060 m

1st Koomerang Too 2nd Honest Ned 3rd Raymonds Reward 4th Warialda Honey .

Bar Queen and Yandina Lass both lost ground at the start when hampered between Look At Him which jumped in and Half Carat which jumped out
Approaching the 800m Perfect Meeting which was racing keenly hung in tightening Half Carat on to Honest Ned ,resulting in Honest Ned having to be checked . In this same incident both Raymonds Reward and Spirit of Coolong lost ground when easing to avoid the heels of Honest ned

Rounding the home turn Warialda Honey lost momentum and eased ,when Perfect Meeting rolled out making contact with Honest Ned . Jockey M. Crawford was reminded of his obligations to stop riding and to straighten ,if he found his mount shifting ground .


Race 4 ::QRSE Exchange Hotel Anniversary Cup Class 3 ---------------1200 m

1st Dualiner 2nd Silver Hope 3rd Ididit 4th Last Humam

Sequalo Girl was slowly away and raced wide in the early stages of the race .

Approaching the 1100m Spuds Sister and Last Humam both were inconvenienced and tightened whenDr. Congo which was racing to the outside stepped in for a few strides .
Throw a Heart had to be eased off the heels of Last Humam in this same incident
Apprentice K. Smith was reprimanded for allowing her mount to step in and was reminded to allow more room to the riders on her inside when crossing .


Race 5 ;;V B Maiden Plate ------------------------------------------1200m

1st Carbon Fury 2nd Viewbank Lane 3rd Bob’s Black 4th Luigi


Sweet Azzura was slow (3L) and tailed off .
Trooper Dane was caught wide on the first turn
Luigi and Moringa’s Hobo made contact at the start .
Approaching the 800m , Viewbank Lane when attempting to move forward had to be eased off the heels of Trooper Dane .
As Sweet Azzura was not competitive in the race stewards issued a warning on the horse

Only the winner of Race five was swabbed .
